If you or someone in your vehicle is afraid of heights do not even attempt going to this campground. Roads are 1 lane gravel with drop offs to hundreds of feet below to the river. We made it about three miles N. and decided to turn back because my wife's nerves were fried.

Quiet and peaceful, no cell signal (another bonus), fly fishing would be the far better way to fish here, a lot of snags in the water

Can be bitterly cold and snowy. The canyon is warmer than weather in keno oregon...say by 10 to 15 degrees.
