I’m building an outbuilding in my backyard, but didn’t want a boring structure. I wanted something cute, like a tiny house. I’m topping it with a metal roof and wanted dark green instead of the generic unpainted metal. My roof joists are 2 feet apart. Most retailers sell painted metal roofing in 3-foot-wide sections. But if you’re looking for 2-foot sections, you’re basically limited to the boring unpainted metal. I checked numerous retailers and was told what I wanted didn’t exist. I even called one manufacturing facility and was told the same. I don’t live in Winston-Salem, but finally called Southside Building Center. An employee told me they could order exactly what I wanted. I drove over to look at a display and, yeah, that was it. I placed the order on a Friday afternoon and they had it for me the following Tuesday. I’m very happy with the purchase and it really makes my building stand out. I’m glad I gave Southside a call.
