We have made several vehicle purchases with regular follow-up maintenance at Hometown Subaru over several years. Every person in every aspect of that dealership has been awesome to us over all the years! I mean everybody! We have met management all of the way through sales, paper work, parts, warranty, service management, service techs, and others that I failed to name. Recently, we ordered a vehicle type that my wife has worked toward for a long time. The order process went smoothly! We were notified of progress regularly! It came in earlier than anticipated!! And, we were contacted immediately so that we could complete paperwork as quickly as possible to achieve the best possible financing! I know that I have used numerous exclamation points, and that is because of how well we are pleased with this dealership. A Subaru is a fantastic vehicle. We have been highly pleased with the ones that we have acquired there. Then, why did we keep going back? We go back so that we could either purchase additional vehicles or upgrade. Have we purchased other models there? Yes! Subaru does not make a truck here. Bummer. Wish that they did. But, I still found a pickup at Hometown Subaru that I really like. Treated great for that purchase and maintenance, too! You need a great ride? Go to Hometown Subaru!

Our son was in need of a vehicle and was really wanting another Suburu Crosstrek. We went to Hometown on Friday. A dealer showed us two different Crosstrek’s. After much consideration our son told the dealer he wanted the orange one. Although we brought money for a down payment we couldn’t begin the process without our daughter-in-law present. Our son made an appointment for Monday evening at 6:00 pm. Our son and daughter-in-law both work from 8:15 am - 6:00 pm, drive time included, Saturday through Wednesday. The dealer called on Monday to cancel the appointment. At that time our son went ahead and gave the dealer his information to begin the financial process. On Tuesday, our son, my husband, and I returned to Hometown around 3:30 pm. As soon as we walked in the dealer informed us that someone else was in the process of buying the same car we wanted. We started asking how this could happen when we had told the dealer we wanted it. The dealer claimed there was nothing he could do. He offered us to wait around to see if the sale went through. The dealer told us on Friday we couldn’t take the car that day even if we bought it because it hadn’t been through their service check yet. We didn’t cancel Monday’s appointment, the dealer did. Yet here we stood, in disbelief, that they were selling the car right out from under us. The original dealer was asking what they could do to make-up for the blunder. Our son told him he would have to give him a really good deal on something else for him to buy from them after what had happened. The dealer kept going to his manager and coming back with no good news. I’ll admit that in anger I finally said (while raising my voice at the most two notches) “you mean to tell me that we could be sitting here (at the dealer’s desk), while they are sitting over there (at a different dealer’s desk), both wanting the same car, at the same time, and whoever’s finances go through first gets the car while the other people sit and watch it drive away? How can you do business like that? How can you treat customers that way?” Our dealer shrugged his shoulders and said something like, that’s the way it goes. I then responded “well I can’t do business with this place then.” I walked out the door and got in our car. Then all of a sudden I saw the “other” dealer walk over to my son and husband, saying something. Soon my son and husband came out to the car. They told me that the “other” dealer came up to them and told them to keep their voices down. What!?! They had said nothing, it was me! And anyway, how can this young dealer think he has the right to say anything to a different dealer’s customer? Hometown you really blundered today in more ways than one!

Came in pre-approved from Capital One only to be jerked around and harrassed. My credit score has gone down 20 points from them unknowingly applying for different loan's under the guise that my husband's award letter could not be accepted. They even went as far as to pull up the V.A. homepage for him to enter his information on their personal computer. After that we made the choice to leave, we were called an hour later to inform us all the paperwork was done, they just needed our signatures. We were in too deep by then, we had to take the deal. When I returned to the finance office, Mr. Bucknor asked me to ask my husband to change his one star review. After all the alerts to my credit, I decided I needed to make a one star review with my experience.

Excellent service. TPMS sensor died 1500 miles from home. Called to ask if they could help, instead the old "were totally booked" scenario, I was told if you can get here by 4 today we can take a look at it. Arrived an hour later, Henry got us right in and 1.5 hours later, sensor was installed and we were back on the road.

You can always refinance a loan, most likely the value of the car vs. the loan remaining will define the loan terms and interest offered.
