We unexpectedly took this while on a road trip. Our nav system didn't indicate the route would involve a ferry - we knew we'd be crossing water based on the map, but assumed it was a bridge until we got there. The alternate route looked like it would add at least an hour, so we just rolled with it. The loading crew on the New York side was super quick and efficient, and the ferry filled quickly. The crew said that the ride across would be about 15 minutes. It was smooth, and even my dog thought it was fun! haha Unloading was also quick, and we were on our way to Vermont!

They used to have round trip. Now they don’t so to get a family of 3 back and forth expect to pay over 40 dollars. Only 2 boats and a lot of times it’s only one. So realistically unless you time it right it doesn’t save you a ton of time like it used too. And with the prices there’s absolutely no point to ride it unless your a single person on a one way who times it right. It used to be cheap convenient and easy now it takes forever , expensive , and can be a pain

Not what they used to be a decade or two ago. Cost savings has slowed the transport time significantly. I've had a few problems with staff being inconsistent or rude. Customer service via email is a joke. I use the Rouses Point bridge much more often now as opposed to dealing with LCF company. These folks have a monopoly.

Easy shortcut! We had no issues loading the Motorhome and it’s toad. We looked for Champy from the viewing deck but no luck. Beautiful seeing the Green Mtns and White Mtns during our short ride.
