Seems like computer stock is limited, especially their computers. I was told it was because of COVID-19 making things hard to get. I'm calling BS. Wally world and Target are still selling strong. The gentlemen that helped me had limited knowledge on computers that where not a premium ticket item. Computers that where in stock were overpriced or had a misleading price to item listing (cheaper price labeled with the best version of the computer listed out on the card "as optional capabilities"). When I shop for things I want the price to match the actual machine I'm looking at. If they want to list out the best options and the best option price to match that would be fine, but the pricing now feels like a bait and switch. The sad part is if I wouldn't have done my homework I would have been pulled into the trap of buying mislabeled overpriced top of the line, because they had nothing else. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU GO TO BUY. When asked questions about anything else the gentlemen had to look everything up, find out if it was in stock somewhere, and would have to order what I wanted to be shipped in. Amazon does that better and it comes to my house with free shipping, so that's where I went and found better options for half the price. Best buy is starting to feel like K- mart whenever I shop there, and we all know what happened to them.

Not sure Best Buy has that capability.
That depends on the ransomware...and what it did... getting it off of a PC is as easy as formatting the drives...but this also wipes your data... So best to get an in person check from a reputable computer tech. Honestly geek squad would not be my first stop.
