This place has prompt care, which is good compared to some of the Urgent Cares which haven't had enough staff to treat people. So they get 2 stars for that. I wouldn't say their care is better than other places, just more timely. However I really don't like their billing policies. They make you give a credit card number, and sign a form saying you will pay whatever they charge to it. That is pretty insane, considering I have had lots of medical places mis-bill me before, but I had leverage to fix it before I paid the bill. Personally, I don't think any medical company deserves the trust to just swipe whatever they want on your card.... they already have all your info should they need to take you to collections. Despite the fact that I signed the billing form, I still have a bill from them marked "overdue." What? I signed a form saying they could swipe whatever they want on my card, and I know I have money in my HSA account. Huh? I don't get it. Now I've been on hold with their billing office forever with no answers, and then the line hung up on me. This feels like predatory business practices.

Made an appointment online night before (very easy). When I arrived I was greeted by friendly intake/front desk associate (Donna I believe). She took all my necessary information and this process was no more than 5 minutes. After a few minutes in waiting area, I was taken to an exam room and seen by a technician who triaged my medical issue, and took vitals. The PA-C was very professional, diagnosed my issue rather quickly and prescribed necessary medication and recommended further treatment. Overall very positive experience! Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional and informative. I would definitely recommend Carewell Urgent Care Center in Billerica if you have the need.
