I was recommended to bring my pet here at at first everything was great. The staff were pleasant the vet seemed informative and really like she had a passion for animals. However, this changed following my pet getting surgery. Post op when I asked the vet when he should return she stated the following: 1. You can bring him back for his boarding appt since its week after next 2. You can change his bandages if they get dirty 3. He only needs the hard collar when you're not around 4. Let me know if the sedative does not work in combo with the hard collar if you need to run an errand and leave the house. 5. Your next visit can just be a tech visit which those are at no charge Now I bring in my pet for boarding. I communicate this information to staff that in agreeance say ok. Then maybe an hour later I get a phone call telling me my pet damaged his dressing. I stated that was a concern if he was not going to be watched, no one indicated that and stated he would be fine. The person tells me when I mention he's having a tech visit while there to change the dressing anyway so it should be fine and "oh btw we also put a collar on him". Now where in the convo did it state I would be charged as I stated yet again I was in town nearby and can bring whatever is needed. Now I come to pick him up and I'm charged a recheck visit, a collar, and dressing. DRESSINGS THAT HE WASNT EVEN WEARING ON PICK UP!!! I talk to staff and a office manager with smug smirks on their faces and no desire to even attempt to rectify the issue and simply state. Well you didnt bring him in for a recheck 3 days after surgery and that was on the dc instructions. Literally something the vet herself told me to ignore. Oh and where's the vet at this point ON VACATION!

I honestly can’t even put into words how grateful I am for Stevens Animal Hospital. I had an emergency this morning and was In complete shambles. I got to the hospital and Heidi immediately came to help, I was in tears and upset. Once the kitty was inside she came back out and handled me with love and compassion, I can’t describe how grateful I am for this. They instantly took care of the life that was in balance. Thank you for the Doctor and his incredible staff for caring and really being there for the well being of animals. I will recommend you to anyone who will listen and my babies will be coming here for any future services I may need. Thank you a million times, thank you thank you thank you.

Very sad I have to part ways with this animal hospital after they refused to see me for an emergency. They also refused to give me their next available appointment when I requested one, knowing they wanted to follow up since his last visit. I have a Belgian Malinois and if you cannot handle the breed, then please tell me and formally dismiss me as a patient. Please don’t lie about not having an available appointment. If no one at your facility is equipped to handle this breed, then say so! Ive been coming there for 4 years and not once they recommended a sedative for his visits. He’s scared, not aggressive, and always muzzled. As an animal specialist, you should know how this dog behaves when in fear. Not only was I refused an appointment, they kept referring me to clinics where dogs tragically die and have limbs wrongfully amputated. It was very stressful needing to find a new vet when you think your dog is dying. Found a new amazing vet that was able to see us right away! My dog was on his best behavior with Trazadone. I was treated with compassion and no discrimination over the breed. I had the best visit I’ve ever had. I also left informed and was given instruction on medication, which I did not with Stevens. If Steven’s Animal Hospital is going to be selective and restrict certain breeds, then say so! If you have a small pet that doesn’t bark and have lots of money to spend, then this is your place.

Dr. Mark & staff are wonderfull. My precious baby did not like going to the vet. Never had a problem with her when we went to visit for a clipping or check up. When it. Was time to let her go, I could not have asked for a more humane atmosphere, loving, compassion, place to go. Thank you all for your amazing help.

Hi Ana I think each office visit is different depending on what your pet needs. I am 100% sure you are making the correct choice by taking your pet to Steven's Animal Hospital. My very loved family pup of 17 and 1/ 2 years had to be put down last week. The excellent care she recieved at Steven's Animal Hospital was 2nd to none. We have been to our share of vet's. Dr. Vica at Steven's is BEYOND OUTSTANDING!
I don't know either but Dr Stevens is awesome and I bet he would give you the best advice.
