$40 to rent a broken kayak you have to launch and put away yourself while an angry employee screams at you. Even asked for help and the employee told me know. Unbelievable. The springs aren’t even that good when you get there.

We have come here for years, always had a great experience besides the bathrooms and the leaking canoes (we’ve had to return several because of the leaks and sometimes there aren’t any left to switch them out). We were on our way back from crystal river yesterday and went to put our paddle boards in for an hour or so before we headed back to Pinellas county. They wanted to charge us $30 just to park and put our paddleboards in! We’ve always launched our boards with a rented canoe with no problems or being charged for it and spent way less! It was an hour until 5 when their rentals should be back anyways… I had absolutely no problem paying for parking but that was a little pricey just to be out there for the hour. We went down the way to the river campgrounds and was only charged 5 dollars for parking and our 4 paddleboards launches with it being only a few extra second paddle. We are definitely rethinking which launch area to consider after how the woman treated us there. I understand having to make money, but we aren’t there all day, we were going for literally an hour or 2. I believe the $10 parking would have been sufficient enough for that.

Like the RV Site area, the tent camping area is partially wooded and also at the other end of the tree tunnel. It occupies its own area separated from the RV Site area. It consists of a large squarish loop with 25 sites that are surrounded by hardwood hammock forests and wetlands. For tent campers, there are 6 communal water spigots and 4 communal trash cans. Each site is equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The tent camping area is called Indian Ridge because it was a popular site chosen for Native American encampments due to its slightly higher elevation. Yes they do have fully stocked kitchens. Not all cabins have fire pits by them.
Yes
No they do not. Just kayaks and canoes. They also have a boat captain that does charters, but I believe you might have to book the charter in advance. We always take our own boat, and we can usually get a boat slip if they have one available.
