My favorite garden and nursery in all of CT. They have such an incredible collection of plants, in varying sizes and the prices are never too expensive. I also love their planter collection.

I love this place. Massive amount of flowers, plants, trees and shrubs. The indoor greenhouse area is so nicely arranged with a large variety of beautiful and healthy plants. They have one of the largest selections of vases and pots from all sizes. If you like botanical gardens, take a visit to this nursery, it's quite a feast for the eyes.

They a have great selection of plants to choose from. However they don't do real good with the service. You need to know what you're coming in here to get and not look for them to give you ideals or to explain the type of plants. I've been to this location several times and never once greeted with " can I help you find anything?"

What is the best way to get rid of bittersweet that is killing and choking several trees?

There are two methods, one is manually ripping them out, though missing even one strand can mean the plant will come back. Then there is the chemical method of using a herbicide, though that's not as fast working as ripping their root systems out, and as with any chemicals, there is a worry of run of and effecting other plants (such as your trees). I think in your case the best method would be to rip them out after a rain, before the ground gets hard (and cold depending on the weather) so the soft earth makes removing the roots easier. Hope this helps!
