Fast (same day) professional service! Technician, Ray, was very informative (and honest) while diagnosing the problem with our system. A quick repair and system was back up and running in no time! Highly recommend!

5/2022 Richard is amazing!!!! I have a water cooled AC (geothermal) unit, which is super rare in Tampa (Richard is literally the only one who can work on this IN Tampa) and had issues with the drain, and then because of the over flow from the drain it shorted the contacter. Then the pvc pipes that transport the water busted, Richard fixed that with so much care, literally coming back a couple times when there were small leaks and reconfiguring it to perform more efficiently. THEN the transformer blew, and he drove all the way back to the central location to get a new one and install it at 7:30 PM on a Friday. I like that Universal Air & Heat is reliable and price-friendly, but I just LOVE Richard’s work and dedication to doing it the right way, no matter how long it takes. Thanks SOOO much Richard!! 9/2017 This is literally the only company I want servicing my AC unit! We love our new unit! The installation technician, Osay (?), was great! He was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions throughout the installation. I can tell you in just 3 days since the installation, our energy usage has decreased by almost half! All around, happy campers! Thank you you so much! For any maintenance or cleaning in the future, you can guarantee we will be in touch with UAH.

Although I used another HVAC company for my services, Matthew was very responsive and super helpful with every question I had. He was very patient in explaining every detail to help me make the best choice for my home system.

Office hours are 9-5. I always get a person during those hours
The proper size HVAC system for your home can vary depending on the size and construction of your home. The best way to ensure you get the most accurate size system for your home is to have a licensed profession come out and evaluate your home's individual heating and cooling needs.
There are many possibilities that can trigger your HVAC system to freeze up but most need to be corrected by a professional technician. Determining if the air filter is clean or replaced and confirming the airflow is not restricted are about the only things a homeowner should safely handle themselves. Issues after that could be low refrigerant, dirty evaporator coil, defective blower motor or relays among others.
For optimum efficiency and filtration, we recommend that you replace your disposable filters at least once a month. If you have washable filters, they should be cleaned once a month.
No. A larger system with more capacity delivers less comfort and costs more to operate. An air conditioner is at its least efficient when first turning on. A system with too much capacity will run in numerous short cycles, turning on and off repeatedly, therefore causing it to be less efficient. Also keep in mind that an air conditioner only removes humidity when it’s running, so a system with shorter run cycles doesn’t remove humidity from the air very well.
There are many recommendation we can make, but the recommendations we make vary on a case-by-case basis depending on an individual home or businesses needs. Give us a call so we can discuss in further detail.
To answer that question accurately, we’ll need to schedule an appointment with one of our HVAC service experts. We’ll come to your home or business and evaluate its size, heating and cooling needs, environment, and the work we’ll need to do. Then, we can recommend the best system for you and install it quickly.
To keep your HVAC system running in tip-top shape, we recommend a maintenance appointment twice a year (once for heat, once for air conditioning). This way we can check your filters, coils, wiring, housing, motor, and more to make sure you’re getting the most out of your system.
