The age level is from 4 to 18. My daughter used to do gymnastics then switched to cheer and it is night and day. The only thing that is the same is the tumbling and dedication you put into it. They go up to level 5 tumbling. Cheer is 100% team work everyone counts on each other for the perfect routine. I would suggest Maine Stars to everyone, it is like one big family.
Depends on if you are travel or prep team. Travel is very expensive prep in not. They do fundraiser stuff to help offset the cost.
