The vibes are second to none. And great service. I would recommend: steak tartare (flavorful and chewy), Thai corn salad (think a crunchy deconstructed spring roll but better), taters (really delicious thick sauce imbued with perhaps turmeric?), soft shell crab (my favorite), and the 1975 cocktail. I didn’t like the Amor de la Hora drink as much. We also didn’t like the Yucatán pork pita — the pork was dry and overcooked and overall the dish was a little bland. Maybe it was just done wrong that time. The after-dinner drinks were disappointing, although I know the concept they were going for and appreciated it. We had the Matcha Man and Josephine Baker. The berry galette was yummy and tart, but the crystal sugar on top was more decorative than digestive — it would’ve been more delicate, and edible, to have spun sugar instead.

We have been to Yvonne's over 50 times in the past two years, and probably spent on average $100 per person each visit (conservative estimate). I can confidently say every penny was worth it as we have since traveled far and wide for the best cocktails and somehow always end up comparing our experience to Yvonne's. The ambiance, service, professionalism, and quality remain unmatched. For a true cocktail lover's prime experience, you must sit at the bar and engage with your bartender. Open up and describe your palate or mood and you'll have your world opened up to classic cocktails with a personalized touch. If you know what you like, the bar staff will go above and beyond to make it for you and always has recommendations for the next best thing. Food is remarkable. Every one of the small plates are exquisite but my personal favorites are the grilled octopus, the crispy brussels sprouts, and the gobi manchurian pita to just name a few. Yvonne's, thanks for being one of our all-time favorites in Boston and beyond. We'll see you as many times as you'll have us.

Wonderful restaurant for a special treat. Ambiance is top-notch, the food was excellent and the pricing is quite reasonable for the full package. Beet hummus and chicken pita pizza were our standout items.

There's no valet parking because its down the pedestrian only part of Downtown Crossing.
Business casual. The comment above suggests Semi-formal, but I completely disagree, because it insinuates jacket and tie, and that would be overkill here. In fact, there were tourists dressed casually, and they absolutely seemed underdressed as well. Business casual is the right balance here.
