Enjoyed my first Polo Match at The Villages Polo Club last Friday. We were in the golf cart tailgate section. We had a blast

Tailgating in our golf cart at the polo match was a lot of fun. More fun with more friends. It was a very exciting match.

My parents live in the villages and I have been wanting to see a polo match for many many years. Today my parents surprised me with tickets. It was AMAZING! The fields are gorgeous, the ponies beautiful and the riders talented. I can't wait to come visit again!!! Social distancing with seats spaced apart. Not too many people with masks.

The Villages Polo Club is a very nice facility located in The Villages FL. If you've never experienced polo before, this is a good place to start. The tickets are relatively cheap, and the anmouncer walks everyone through the basic rules of police. There are also some handouts you can grab which go into more detail. The matches are usually held Friday and Sunday, and there are usually matches from March through the beginning of May, then again in October and November. The facility itself has covered and uncovered seats, and unless you're already very tan, you should definitely choose the covered seats if it's going to be a sunny day, as the heat can be quite brutal in the afternoon Florida sun. There are also upper and lower decks. The upper deck allows you to see more, but the lower deck gets you closer to the action and the thundering of the horse's hooves. Matches are divided into what are called chuckers, which are 7:30 long. There are usually 7 chuckers to a game. So a full match takes about 90 minutes. There are restrooms and a sizeable snack bar. There is also a bar bar, which has various liquors and beers for sale. The prices are relatively reasonable... meaning overpriced, but not quite ballpark overpriced. At the latest match we were at, the women's teams were playing and the games moved steadily and were interesting. The people around you are generally friendly and more than willing to explain the rules, especially when it comes to penalties, which can be very confusing. All in all a great facility and a fun time. We would definitely return.

Yes due to the weather
Most events don't allow pets. I'm not sure if they allow it on non event days. Hope this helps. I don't live there.
The balloons were later in the evening due to high winds. Great show this morning and looking forward to another this afternoon and evening. There are signs out and in the brochure and we site saying that the balloons are weather dependent
Sorry I don't know. You could try calling.
You can also buy general admission tickets at the gate with no service charge.
Sorry, but you'll have to call The Villages Polo Club and ask.
Meet them at a Villages Box office...Brownwood has one right next to the theater.
Yes
You can pick up tickets at any Villages Box office (such as Brownwood next to the theatre) as well as at the Polo Club.
Match today at 3
Sorry Andrea. I'm not affiliated with the club so I dont know their schedule. I just write reviews and share them on-line. Give them a call or check their website calendar of events. Good luck.
Sorry, you'll have to call them directly. We're not affiliated with the club. We're just people like you who've been there and shared our experiences with the general public.
No they are playing
I have not seen a Soroptimist Club mentioned in The Villages Thursday list of clubs. However, that is not to say there isn't a club with the same mission. Keeping in mind that The Villages lifestyle is ultimately what you put into it, it may be an endeavor for you to start one. I believe you would have a lot of interest (as long as you put a description of what the club is all about, as Soroptimist is a word that is unfamiliar to most).Hope this helps. Best of luck.
You have to go down to the ground level
Good question, best to check villages website
