Its been a long while since we last visited. Liked it better this time. The eating area felt much cleaner this time. We ate in arriving half hour before closing. We ordered the shrimp, clams and fish platter. It was nicely cooked. Not overdone at all. It was all good and there was more than enough food for the price. They were kept busy with orders going out the service window so we must not be the only ones liking it. We will get there again sometime soon.

Just like old times. We are so glad this restaurant is still open. We don't live in the area, but when we visit we always come here. People are really nice, food is good.

I'd thought that all Skippers had gone out of business a long long time ago, so I was very excited (and surprised!) when by happenstance I discovered a few weeks ago that this location existed! The food was just as delicious as I'd remembered it being years ago, the service was fast and friendly. The menu is predominantly fried seafood, so if you're looking for lighter dishes this might not be your thing. Personally I will gladly make the 30-minute drive up to this restaurant again, to me the food and nostalgia is worth it. For $10 I ordered the Captains Platter which came with fish, shrimp and clams, plus fries and coleslaw.

Cheap and delicious seafood with fast service! Their fish and chips are extremely tasty, even better than a lot of more expensive places in the area. Their fries can get a little big soggy underneath the fish oil but still good. I also really like their clam chowder, full of flavor and spice, with some decent chunks of clam inside. After the pandemic, they got a service window which was an efficient process. They forgot to give me a spoon with my soup last time I ordered, but otherwise I can't complain about any of my experiences here!

The Hazel Dell Skippers Seafood and Chowder House restaurant in Vancouver, Washington was built and opened by Skipper’s Inc. in the year 1975. It was the 44th restaurant opened by the seafood chain. The restaurant remained open for 32 years, before closing it’s doors in July, of 2007 due to the corporate bankruptcy filings. The Marsh Restaurant Group, LLC. a Skippers licensee under the parent Starway Restaurants, LLC. reopened the not forgotten and neighborhood favorite Seafood and Chowder House restaurant on April 16th, 2008 as Hazel Dell Skippers.
