Therapy for Individuals and Couples

The national rules have not changed as of this day that I am answering this question (May 2022). The only Master's-level clinicians who can accept Medicare are LCSWs (Licensed Clinical Social Workers). For many years, there have been bills introduced and in the works to allow MFTs to see folks with Medicare. Some day I trust the rules will change, but that day is not today.

Yes, I am located in Brattleboro. Until congress passes certain legislation (which seems to come up for vote each year, and which I hope will be passed some day), Medicare is not accepted. Generally, PHD folks can participate with Medicare (Psychologists). And, as of today, the only Master's-Level Clinicians that can participate with Medicare are LICSW folks - Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
