Great Trail, it was nicely shaded and enjoyed the scenery and the crossovers with the signals. Rode from McIntosh parking area all the way down to the Venice Waterway Park. I didn't realize the trail went North of the McIntosh parking area until I was leaving, needs better signs showing where the trail pics up.

A well-maintained trail that runs behind homes and crosses through main roads. Wide road good for large groups, dog walkers, etc. I didn’t see any doggy bags for those who forget or trash cans. I went early on an overcast morning and definitely should’ve waited for the blazing sun. The little black bugs were bugginggggg us. Beautiful maintained trail. If you’re in the mood for privacy or to view nature elements i would skip this one.

My dog and I loved this natural Florida trail. He smelled and peed while I looked for unusual plants and wildlife. I am 74 and more careful about footing, so I appreciate the paving. A local gem.

Love this Trail for cycling!! You can head north to Webber st or South to Venice Train Station. There's plenty of parking. There's facilities, picnic tables, benches throughout the trail. All crossing intersections have the button to change traffic lights and are reasonably quick. There's parking at Bay St. Asthon Rd has a nice facility and park under construction. Laurel Rd has a nice bridge to go over and Shakett Creek is a beautiful bridge to stop along your travel. 🤘🐬🐊

Must be on a leash! And pickup after your pet. There are trash cans on trail spaced out
Moe's south western grill at Sawyer and Clark road
There are cross walk lights
? They will eventually extend it.
Yes
Yes
Don't think so it's only design for bikes and walking. To my knowledge.
Yes at train station can go north for 11 miles
You will see lots of bikes, and several public bike repair stations along the way
Depending, some areas have shade however most of the trail will be direct sun, but there are benches where you can take a break and relax.
Trail is free, also there are more free trails in Venice along the waterway that connect to the Legacy trail
Nothing directly on the trail
We rented from Bicycles International. Nice road bikes and a friendly helpful staff, less than a mile from the Venice Parkway trail that connects directly into the Legacy trail. Couldn't be easier
There is a completely trail guide and map located https://www.escapecaseykey.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/LegacyTrailGuide.pdf
At least 10 miles in length
You can rent bikes at Bicycles International which is not far from Shamrick park which will put you on the Venetian trail which connects to the Legacy trail a few miles down
The entire trail is paved. Currently the trail one way is 10.4 miles. Connecting onto the Venetian trail will give you another 3 miles
