Yet another awesome Library. Nice reading areas, an up-to date computer room, and every darn book I wanted to read. The staff was always helpful when needed, and silent when not. I never had a bad time, and miss hanging out in that fine old stone building.

I will like to clear a lot of thing so the public would understand our policies as a Librarian Assistant. We've been having difficulties with the Community Room for a while and the one who has to say about it mostly is the City Hall, we've been telling them that, but there's cero response. Don't blame the staff for doing their work in the library. The bathroom policy in the library is to exchange the key with a library card or ID for safety. The policy was made with the police so we don't have any problems. Whoever is against our policies we wouldn't be able to help them and remember we are doing our jobs. We would help you in anyway, that's why is called Public Library, EVERYONE goes. For the safety from your kids to the adults that comes in. We all want to help. As a Evening Librarian Assistant, I would gladly help any patron who needs it. 😊📚 I love my job ❤️

We love our library! Beautiful, spacious and full of friendly and helpful staff. Though I can always find something to read, I do wish it had a greater selection of books. We LOVE the children's section!

Allan. You can email the Holyoke History Room and Archive at historyroom [at] holyokelibrary.org. They will be able to answer your query.
Yes, the hours listed are accurate.
The library is free. You need to get a library card to take books out and to use the computers, otherwise the building is free for all to use.
To check out books and other items yes. To only use the computer, they can ask for a guest pass
It depends if your donating them or not but they do take donations
All depends on who takes care of you, some staff will, some won't.
You will need a picture ID and proof of address, if the ID has the correct address that's all you need. And there's no fee for the first time, if you loose it there's a fee of $1.50.
Black Friday is the name given to the shopping day after Thanksgiving. It was originally called Black Friday because the volume of shoppers created traffic accidents and sometimes even violence.
