A great, free, self guided walk with a path that brings you across the train tracks to a gorgeous view of the CT river. You could spend twenty mins here or several hours. My two kiddos are 13 and 15 and we're into it.

Very cool to see old dinosaur tracks but was hoping they would be bigger. Also needs something to preserve the integrity of the tracks. That being said it was a nice short walk and the river is very nice.

Very interesting! The footprints are just a very short path away from the small parking lot. Make sure you go left when the path splits. Also, it is open from dawn to dusk so it is usually open after 5pm (unlike what google says). The property is managed by the trustees so the footprints are generally well-maintained and there are bits of information (in both English and Spanish). It is pretty cool to think that you are standing somewhere where a real dinosaur once stood. Everyone should get to see a real dinosaur footprint at least once in their life and this is the place to do it!

Nice quick trail down to the river. Tons of little spots to discover. Plus the fun and excitement of real dinosaur tracks. You can get right on the rocks and find some real pieces of archeology. A favorite spot of ours to do some trails with our rc trucks.

No, not easily. The path there is rough terrain, Rocky and not even. And also has some ruts.
Easy path. Good shoes with a grip and you're fine.
Mt. Tom State Reservation is very close and has hiking trails of various skill levels, as well as picnic tables, a small playground, a lookout tower and ruins from an old stone building. Nice views of surrounding towns from lookout areas off the sides of the road too.
Yes, last week. Quiet and serene place to spend a couple of hours next to river.
It's free and open year round. Not much to it, so "worth it" depends on your interest level and how far your trip is to get there.
