This trail is great for walking, hiking and biking. Very well maintained. Many parking locations along the trail. I bike the trail often it is packed gravel no big climbs or decents.

This trail opened exactly 3 years ago, September 8, 2018. I am attaching a couple of pictures from that day. The trail is much used and well-maintained and provides a nice link from the town of NewPaltz and the rail trail to the Mohonk foot …

This is open-air and remote, yet signage tells you to fear the ‘Rona (one year later). The trail itself is nice, though probably prettier in season. The trail skirts the Wallkill River. In one spot “social distancing trees” are being planted, to remind people forever that they are all mere germ bags to be avoided to the utmost.

The bike rail has at least one just over the bridge at the end of New Paltz.
Well it's mostly snow, boots with some traction, it's getting a little messy for skis, but others have done it recently Have fun
Can it be ridden on narrow high pressure tires? Yes. I wouldn't though.
