Worst apartments i have EVER lived in. Iv had tree limbs fall and crack my windshield on my car. The maintenance neverrrrr comes to fix anything thats messed up in the apartment. Neighbors are extremely ghetto and they constantly are fighting. Black mold all over the bathroom. They do not care about anything but money and would never recommend this place.

Harbor oaks directed me to fill out an application and put down a $500 holding deposit before even being allowed to view any apartments I had contacted harbor oaks to inquire about their apartments on the 30th of Aug. i was told i would need to summit an application to prove my eligibility before they were able to move forward on anything. After paying for and summiting the application they approved me on Sep 1st, i asked about coming by and seeing what they had to offer but was told i would need to put down some sort of deposit and sign their welcome letter before they could even show me anything. i put down $25 and did not hear back from them until two weeks later when they called me back on the 14th of Sep to ask if i could put down at least $500 more so that they could guarantee they could hold me an apartment but when i asked if i could actually see any apartment before i commit to anything they said they could not show me anything yet before i made the requested deposit. I put down another $475 plus tax ( all with my debit card mind you and without being allowed to even see anything yet) they called me back a few days later and told me my card payment was good enough and they can get me an apartment for the 25th of Sep, but when i asked again to see the actual apartment i was told they didn't have any they could show me. i called them back every other day to ask again to see the apartments . then around the 20th i told them i needed to see the apartment or i was not signing a lease. when they finally allowed me to see the apartment it reeked of cigarette smoke, with damage and dirt on the walls clearly painted over and cigarette buds outside the door and on the stairs. I expressed my displeasure to the agents. I called them back the day after to cancel since the would not talk to me in their office (they said due to covid) and get my holding deposit of $500 back since i had not signed a lease. they agreed to cancel but told me they do not refund any deposits for any reason and had stopped answering my calls since. They strung me along and scammed me into making payment after payment without letting me view anything . telling me they are just holding deposits then refused to refund me after i canceled with them and are pocketing my so called holding deposit and ignoring my contact attempts.

They are also pet friendly! The staff here is amazing anything that needs done gets done! The maintenance guys here are awesome and know how to do their job! My apartment Comes with all the amenities you could think of! You also can't beat the price! I would recommend these apartments for your future home!

I currently live here and have debated on actually posting a review due to not wanting backlash from management but I don’t want to see anyone else scammed out of their money. When you first move in you have 24 hours to report any issues for them to fix and note on the paperwork. I sent in a few things but within that time it is hard to tell what is wrong because you are so focus on moving in you don’t see all of the flaws. Most of the cabinets are falling off the hinges, the paint job is the worst I have ever seen as it peels off in multiple places and is all over the carpet. The carpet is ripped up in the corner and had minor spots missing/ messed up all over. The apartment reeked of cigarette smoke when we moved in. They offered to do a bomb that would hopefully eliminate the smell, but no one could be in the apartment for the day. Having a cat and no where else to stay made this impossible. Whomever lived here before us had the glow stars on the wall in the bedroom and words on the wall in the bathroom that were just painted over and still very visible. The air conditioning barely works as it probably has not been updated since the building was built. So besides the outdated, run down apartment the neighborhood is horrible. We are surrounded by drug users and felons. The guy that lived below us had an active warrant when he moved in. They constantly smoked weed which carried into our apartment. They also were constantly loud and arguing. There is not enough parking for each building as we are now struggling to get a parking spot because of our new neighbors. It seems that if we do one little thing, we get complained about yet others around us are much worse. For example, 2 pm one day I was listening to music off of my Bluetooth speaker in my apartment. I had a complaint made that my base was too loud yet it had no base. We put stuff on our windows to keep the sun out and was immediately told it had to come down as it was not allowed. All of this being said and our neighbor has a table blocking the stairs and they are always constantly loud yet nothing has been said to them. I wish I never wasted my money moving into this place and cannot wait until my lease is up to be out of here. To update, they reached out to me once while I was at work but never contacted me again. Our lease is up April 15th and on January 15th we got a letter about renewing and how the price has dramatically increased. To fill out paperwork to say you are not going to renew, you have to go into the office, which is only open while we are both at work. I still would not recommend to anyone to live here. The most recent positive reviews are from people who work here, therefore the review is truly irrelevant.
