Ppl who are in need, and can't afford to shop bc you don't have any money, ppl go there to the Westfield pantry. The pantry does have tendacies of profiling, especially if u don't have children. What they give you is (1) loaf of bread, or just (1) toast. In the past, families of over (2) were able to get (3) breads, and one choice of desert. Otherwise now, your only allowed (1) bread, (1) desert, they give you (2) boxes of macaroni & cheese, always kidney beans, whether it's black or red, always get kidney beans, (1) bag of rice (white rice), and (1) can of soup, (1) generic stale cereal, not of your choice, they just put it into the box, they don't care if u like it or not. Also give you (2) dark tuna that looks like cat food, even a cat wouldn't touch, Make sure u ask for peanut butter, cuz that is the only nutritional edible product that your able to get. When you ask for jelly xx they most likely tell you they don't have any. Why can't they supply poultry with vegtables either salt, not w/out. Also no offering of anything to drink, no fluids. A real disgrace to someone who's trying to get some nutritional value from a small pantry that isn't even big enough to stock somevreal products of ever source, for instance, produce, poultry, peanut butter & jelly, cereal of at least 4 different varieties, milk 1/2 gallons, or oatmeal for a hot cereal, solid tuna fish or at best semi, NOT DARK OR COMPLETELY SOLID, bc you will never see that, cornbeef hash, eggs, even if it's a half a dozen, and produce, a little lettuce or tomatoes and pasta sauce ready to serve, not tomatoes plain sauce, cuz than you would need some spices!!! but supply the needy with an option when it comes to some REAL FOOD, were not animals,(pigs) to eat whatever us thrown to us, and remember you can only get this junk once a month. Bread is every two days with some nasty deserts. That is it.!!!!! The problem with the pantry is they dont give anyone something that you can make at least a minimal of three meals in ONE MONTH!!! Alot of ppl lie about the amount of ppl in the family, just so they can get more whatever they can. In my opinion, either have a decent Food Pantry that actually helps the needy, or close this place down!!! It's degrading enough, to walk in and need help to survive, but be ethnical and alittle generous to help those who don't have food to eat period!! One last thing, they weigh the food at the final encounter so they don't go over there limit, .....for what??? They cheat the ppl who need it the most anyway, so that's what we're dealing with here. The employees , I know take things home when there all set at the end of the day. Also not enough help with Staffing or ppl to put food on the shelves. They need ppl to check every 6 mths regarding legit paperwork or proof of residency, otherwise everyone will lie about where and who they live with.Thank you!!!

The staff was nice and comforting. Easy to sign up for assistance when needed.

I recommend you bring your copy of lease and any utility or cable bill. The pantry hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10:00 am to 12:00 PM. They sometimes stop letting people in at 11:30 am if their very busy,, so they can serve those and close as close to on time as possible. Wednesday their closed and holidays and school snow cancelation days. Thursdays they open at 5:30 pm until 6 pm I believe is their closing time.
ID with piece of mail like a bill that has your Westfield address. Just to prove to them you live in Westfield.
Unfortunately you have to be a resident of Westfield to use the Westfield food pantry
