Westerly Town Beach

The Town beach is pretty good. Lots of families (which means lots of kids) but everyone is well-behaved. The place is clean and the food station has great selections. Also there is no sales tax since it is run by the town. This place is one of two town-owned beaches. It is the one to the east. You cannot park at this location without a season pass, and that is issued by the town clerk, and then only through the mail.

Great beach. Plenty of parking. Lifeguards. Food pavilion with delicious beach food. Must be a resident of Westerly to join.

Very very busy, but made an otherwise hot summer day a pleasant experience! Beautiful, soft sand, nice waves and lots of fun just to walk the shoreline. Has a reasonably priced place to supplement the visit with snacks, ice cream, beverages and sandwiches. Parking can be an issue depending upon your arrival time. Open to Westerly residents only and requires a pass to park. The shoreline had a lot of seaweed, but absolutely no human trash, a very welcoming and clean environment!

Love this beach. Playground, arcade, water slides, food, drinks you name it... Not the mention how beautiful the scenery is that's surrounding all the activity. Can't go wrong. Gets crowded during peak season but who cares- just plan accordingly for a crowd and you're good to go
