Me and Son went to see about the Open Gym (Basketball) on Tuesdays & Thursdays for this location and the older lady with dark brown hair in a pony tail who was working at the front desk this morning was NOT welcoming at all. She acted more like she was afraid of us and didn't want to assist us with this information, so I had to explain to her that I received an email about it and I'm inquiring on how I can get my Son signed up (fees, age requirement, etc) she pretty much didn't know about the fee but she was very quick to say "Well, you have to be 18..." and I said okay??...thanks. But it doesn't mention age at all, so that would be something that the YMCA should provide when they are sending out their brochures via email. I normally don't care to come to this location even though it's close to where I reside because the staff at times can be quite rude, dismissive and act like they don't care to be there or just nice to a certain group of people. My Son and I will continue to go to the Port Orange location instead.

I’ve paid for 24 hr access and have yet to be able to access the building. Gotten new key fabs and still haven’t been able to get in. Even got transferred to port orange and still wasted gas going somewhere that I can not get into. Why have 24 hr access but no employees working to help with this issue. I’ve left messages and no response. I just want my money back at this point.. I’ll find another gym

Clean and very nice staff. Pool is clean and lifeguards pay attention to swimmers. Some of the gym equipment is new and some needs updating.

Switched from 5 stars to 1, simply because the staff is untrained. They have no idea how to enter people into the system, and they also have no idea how to cancel a membership. This is NOT their fault though. It’s whoever is training them not doing their job. Is there management here? Who’s in control? It seems to me that the facility is only monitored by one staff member, and that staff member hasn’t even been properly trained. YMCA is a big enough corporation have a little bit higher of a standard than that. It’s really sad when the employees don’t even know what they’re doing because they weren’t trained!!!! I feel bad for them!

Both Ys have pools H. H. Is small and seasonal--O. B. Is much larger and is heated during winter
I believe the staffed hours are 8-8 the only thing available after or before those hours are the exercise equipment for members who have a card to get in. All of the other doors such as to the gymnasiums are locked as are the showers and pool. Their phones number is listed but you'd have to call between 8-8 two get any answer. (Dont hold me to that opening time but I know close is at 8 and the last showers are at 7:30 and $5 ea)
Yes, I go to both port orange to Edgewater YMCA. As long as you pay full price for membership.
I believe the Ormond YMCA does they have aquatic classes and other stuff
The holly hill ymca is still operational there r many levels of membership the cheapest i believe is 29.99 but the next level is 50 or 60 dollars. Go in and check it out before you commit to anything. Insurance and silver sneakers is free check with ur insurance.

Good questions...i suggest y'all go talk 2 Heath at d front desk...He is wonderful and keep in mind that d Y as an organization wants 2 make it easy 4 people 2 join...that is part of their mission!!
They have a separate workout room with Nautilus weights... They have a gym for basketball. They have a pool where they also have aerobics classes in the pool. And yes they also have an aerobics room. Although I've never seen the spin class at the YMCA in Holly Hill but there is one in Port Orange.
