My 6 year old boy was treated very bad in front of me by the swimming pool lifeguard when he took the same gear that was used by another child from my son with out any reason but the other child is ok but my child is not ok My kid cry and he hates the Y and when I complain to the front desk they did nothing And as my son won’t go back to the Y anymore I had to cancel my membership they did it noting it only need it an apology to my kid from the lifeguard but they prefer to cancel my membership rather than apologizing

Great! Big space with lots of equipment-cardio and weight room, track, pool, big locker rooms. Go during off-peak hours and it is so quiet. Well run and clean. Helpful, skilled and friendly staff and a group of mature health conscious people, who share their life experiences. It has terrific programs and is far superior to private clubs at a fraction of the cost. A wonderful community gathers in this nurturing place to socialize and live the good life.

Today I called to cancel my membership. I spoke with the director, who offered to place a hold on my membership due to the social distancing. I asked her if this was being done for everyone, she said no, that the computer program wouldn't allow for that. You would need to call to request the hold. I still opted to cancel, and was told that it would be done. I forgot to ask for a confirmation email (totally my fault), but when I called back, no one answered. I called three separate times. The fourth time I used my husband's phone and someone finally picked up. When I asked for confirmation that my membership had been cancelled, the woman on the phone indicated that it had not been cancelled, that a hold had been placed. I again asked for my membership to be cancelled and for a confirmation email to be sent. It was finally done. Afterwards I had a Zoom meeting for my work, and I brought it up as attendees also held memberships at the same Y. Apparently, this story is not unique. I understand that businesses are trying to stay open, but ignoring my direct request for membership cancellation and then avoiding my phone calls is completely unprofessional.

Reviewing the spin class with Kimberly she is encouraging without making you feel pressured and is super nice. If you do follow her lead though, you are getting a work out!!

Yes, it's based on income.
They have different times everyday so call the front desk
1st and 3rd Friday every month at 8:30AM, its a drive-through
I know the courts are open for use at specific times. You would have to call to see what kind of youth programs they have and they do have a lot. Even summer camp.
A one-adult household family membership (includes children under age 25) is $54 per month with a one-time joiner fee of $80. Two-adult household is $74 per month with a $90 joiner fee. The YMCA has a Y for All program that provides a reduced rate with income verification. https://www.ymcasouthcoast.org/membership/rates/
