They take forever. There’s literally never anyone waiting but it always takes so long to get anything done because the people working ALL move at a snail’s pace. I’ve been there a few times now, different people working each time, and they are all just so insanely slow in everything they do. Last time I went in, there was nobody else waiting and a woman said it would be just a minute… before leaving me sitting there for nearly an hour.

I am also frustrated by the billing problems with Quest Diagnostics. Repeated calls to the billing department have failed. I just get a recording saying the call cannot be completed and try again later. The billing was sent to the wrong insurance company and the blood work charges at $2,676!!!!! Unbelievably expense for a blood test! I have now left a message with the patient advocacy team.... I have had trouble with their billing before, but this is the worst so far. Update: I received a call back from a staff person with Patient Advocacy and she was very helpful. They had corrected the insurance company information and she was able to tell me that my insurance is refusing to pay so now my struggle will be with them. She agreed to put a 45 day hold on requiring me to pay this bill and explained some of the tests the doctor ordered which may explain the high cost. It appears that calling the patient advocacy team works since when I contacted the billing department I could only get a recording saying the call couldn’t be completed.

I am SO impressed with this entire process. For one, I did not know this was so easily accessible. For two, it was much easier than having to schedule an appointment with a specialist AND I received my results the next morning at 7 AM! You can't beat that. Very close location. Much easier than trying to get all the way on the other side town, especially for a 3 minute blood-draw. Everyone has done a great job and on time.
