I’ve been to this office many times, and after reading all these other reviews, I’ve decided I have to write my own. First of all, this is an Urgent care. Not an emergency room. From the handful of times I’ve been there, I’ve seen people walk in with the most absurd ailments which they believe they can have treated there. (The family of 6 who walked in all at once demanding to receive full body x-rays because “they had been in a car accident” stands out.) I can only imagine what other nonsense those that work here see on a daily basis. This is Schenectady remember. Secondly, the front desk people are doing medical intake. What a horrible job. Trying to remain calm in the face of demanding, yet never satisfied, patients? No thanks. Please show them some respect. If they seem grumpy, it’s likely due to dealing with argumentative, insatiate individuals all day. Also, you’re probably going to have to wait. It’s a walk-in clinic, so you’re gunna have to deal. (You can make appointments which can be helpful if you know beforehand that you need to be seen) Every time I’ve been there I was treated respectfully and professionally. Most recently I was seen by PA Jacobs, and she was extraordinarily caring and concerned. She went out of her way to make sure I was given the proper treatment. Remember: Giving respect earns respect. I do have one gripe, but this isn’t the place to air it. So if anyone there wants to hear it, LMK. See you soon.

I saw a lot of negative reviews, so I figured I’d share a positive one. We were seen very quickly for a minor issue. They had ophthalmology equipment in-house which was great. The PA was thorough and friendly and knowledgeable. I will admit that one of the secretaries was indeed rude, however.

I was here at 9am on May 4, 2022. The secretary is so rude and very unprofessional. She's yelling at the patients that are elderly and in pain. She's rude to everyone and doesn't respects anyone privacy. BIG HIPPA violation for AlbanyMed. AlbanyMed needs to get better, kinder, diverse workers that respects everyone in the community. Very sad that she's still here!!!

Went in with a bleeding head cut that wouldn't stop. Was seen by Danielle who was terrific, in spite of being overworked due to a staffing shortage. The entire staff was cooperative and friendly. Would highly recommend. They sometimes schedule for an appointment, so call if time is not of the essence.

You should call them and ask. They most likely will be able to do it as they have an xray machine but best be safe and ask first.
