As a almost 35 year member and past commander I must say I was very happy to see how the post has continued to succeed. Most of my old friends that I knew are gone now, but the people that are there are very friendly and accommodating. Had a great time and would recommend veterans to go there. I was commander in 91-92.

I am life time member but ,been gone couple years over family illness and Death . Love this Post. !!!! Wonderful . Freindly , Atmosphere !!! Now have daily lunches and actitives!!! Growing In new members !!! Entertainments, bingo , Queen of heart games , Bar. Bingo,and then live music. Like Rhonda & Guy. Great voices of great selections of country , also. A few bands monthey. Very Nice and friendly people await you at Post 8189 . Very active club welcoming all with open arms . My father George Thomas LaFollette US Marine passed but had a seat at the Bar . I am very proud to call this VFW a welcome retreat .
