I really appreciate Lakeland Electric! We had a limb down our power line on a Saturday. I was able to reach someone through their automated system & within a few hours, our line was back up. The gentlemen that came out were very polite, professional and worked well together. Plus, they were working in the rain! Thank you Lakeland Electric!

I've gone at I with this company many different times over the years. Since I have lived in Lakeland. Iv gone through different phases in life as most have and have been unable to pay. They claim they offer payment arrangements but the reps fight tooth and nail not to actually gave you one. They only reconnect I'm the afternoon so if you have been off for days and pay at night then you have to basically wait a whole other day till whenever they get around to it to reconnect. So if you have kids animals medicine they don't care they get to it whenever it's convenient for them. I have contacted city government with very little success on changing policy for the better of the people. I feel sorry for anyone who moves into the area and has them as a service. They literally just raised their rates twice in two months. And it has greatly effected the small business I work for in part why I can't pay my own electric bill. They care about themselves and only their pockets.

Customer service associates are more interested in being combative & argumentative than performing their actual job. They are rude and unprofessional. I have never had a good experience with this company or anyone in their customer service department. They are not trained to de-escalate situations, they match the energy and frustration of the customer which is ridiculous, especially when Lakeland Electric is in the wrong. They do not allow you to escalate to a supervisor, they just hang up on you. If you interrupt them while speaking, they hang up on you. If you express any frustration, they hang up on you. The whole department is trash, whomever trained the department is garbage. I have worked in customer service over 20 years & never experienced worst customer service. I have had Lakeland electric for over 20 yrs, never ever had a pleasant experience with their “customer service” department.

Preface: I have never had an electric bill/dealt with an electric company before. I had auto-pay set up on my account a day before my due date, but I received a text message saying that my utilities will be disconnected in 48 hours. I log on to my account, and see in fine print on my bill, that I owed a start-up amount due by 05/24. However, the main bill still had the bold letters “due on 05/31.” Rookie mistake I suppose. I paid the whole amount of the bill, because I did not have the option to pay both separately. Today, I saw that my payment was approved, but that I still owed the whole bill. I call customer service and speak with Andrea. She explains that because I did the “ASAP” payment option it takes 1-2 business days, and I should have done the 1 time payment instead for it to go through immediately. I explained that I did not have an option for that when I hit “pay bill.” She let out an audible laugh and insisted it was there. I even went back to check after our phone call and you have to go to two separate tabs to find the “one-time payment” option. It is not accessible immediately when you hit “pay bill.” How would I have know that? Andrea did not care to explain it to me, but instead laughed at me for it. I feel disrespected, and I was unable to have my issue taken seriously. I understand why there are poor reviews for this service.

400 twin lakes cr is out ...when could it be fixed
There are currently 3 solar fields near the airport
You will want to talk to someone in permits across the street at City Hall first
My parents are in the same boat. While neighborhood has power but they only have 44 volts running into their home. Smh no explanation
Combee rd area has lines up no trees on lines..most just need refusing..simple..you would think..one guy in a pickup truck could fix this area..but but but is what your gonna get
Possibly turned off to make a repair nearby without electrocution to their workers. Please give them some slack!
Never sounds about right
I don't know if there is an app, but you can save any website to your home screen. When using your internet browser and you're on the page you want, go to the top right of the screen and there will be 3dots or dashes to click on. A drop down will appear. One of your choices will be "save to home screen"
If it on the coustom side it the coustom problem if it not on they side it the city problem
Check LakelandGov.net for current opportunities. https://www.lakelandgov.net/departments/human-resources/job-opportunities/
Just set up two accounts. One per location, both under your name.
Have no idea Mm
You can go to Lakellandlelectric.com and there is an outage map.
Nope
Where are you?actually, through their system, they would know electricity is out and plan service restoration accordingly.
Lakeland Electric is called a “municipal utility” (also known as a “muni”) and that means that, as a customer of Lakeland Electric, you are also an owner of the utility. As a municipal utility, Lakeland Electric measures our success by how much money stays within Lakeland through low rates and contributions to the city budget. Private power utilities, or Investor Owned Utilities (IOU's) like Duke, have stockholders across the country and around the world. A “muni” utility is owned by the city it serves. It exists to provide a public service to the citizens, businesses and industries of the community. Service, not profit, is the utility’s ultimate mission.
They didn't when we upgraded. You could call and ask but I don't believe they do
It's on your statement.
Sometimes
Sounds about right. Quality service
Yes you have to wait.
Look at the areas lakeland electric crews are working..don't care what they say..they started around lake Hollingsworth.. Need I say more..most areas they started were affluent neighborhoods..period..
Agreed..lots of places only need a fuse to be back to their daily..one man in a pickup truck could do this from the ground..but hey we gotta get them folks around lake Hollingsworth back on first..they suffer a lot you know..them big houses get hot..especially ones on the lake
Tell me if you see an Lakeland Electric truck. They're endangered and extremely rare.
Sharon, they cant get the three broken poles on S. Florida Ave. fixed. Basically leaving most of Christina and Mulberry without power. So, probably Christmas.
I have only seen two lakeland electric trucks in a week..pretty fn pathetic..not even one out of town utility except for the ones drinking beer at their hotel off of 33..
They told me on the phone there are no time estimates. Then said a week.
Don't worry we are all in the same boat. If they had invested to out some lines underground, we wouldn't lose power for weeks. As it stands the only ones happy are the out of state linemen making $50 an hour.
According to their site, they will text you
Lakelands Highlands is surrounded by people with power.. where ours then?
Homeowner is responsible for inside home. Lakeland Electric will take care of outside home.
What up Martin
When the winds go below 40 mph and the storm passes
Good luck on that one. I got shut off for $20.00
