It was a lovely library just downtown in Brooksville. I had a bit of a printing emergency, of course late in the evening, but I was in and out, without even a library card, with the help of the wonderful staff. I'll be back to sign up ladies, thank you!

I thought this public library would be nicer because it’s around a lot of government buildings but no. There are bums in front of the library, chain smoking, which personally I think should not be allowed. I don’t appreciate my children having to pass that poison to get into the library. The outside of the library reeks of urine. The staff is great but the whole vibe of the library and smells I just can’t take. When I went to check out a book for my son, it smelled like old cheese. I just will not be returning to this location.

I would say, as a whole, the library system in Hernando county has a good variety of books. I read a little bit of everything, and I frequently visit 3 local libraries (Brooksville Main Street, Blackbird Ave in Weeki Wachi, and the one in Spring Hill). The librarians are very helpful and will request to borrow books from other counties if they do not have what you are looking for.
