Good experience. Had an appointment at 1 pm arrived at 12:45. Walked out at 1:18 pm. Organized, friendly service. Very important to get an appointment.

I paid my car off back in September 2021. I elected for an electronic title, but when my bank sent my title to the DMV, they printed it off and mailed it to me without it being requested. Unfortunately, I never received it in the mail. Now, I’m about to move and Im required to ship my car, but the company moving my car requires a copy of my title. When I tried to retrieve my title from this DMV, a Ms. Cindy Beams told me she couldnt do it unless I filled out an application and paid a fee. I explained to her I never received my title in the mail. After she took a short look, she realized it was only sent to my apartment number and not my actual street address. She told me to email her a copy of my drivers license and a written request (which I did same day), but she failed to respond. I reached out two more times after that and on my third attempt she finally replied to me. At this point, she completely changed her stance and said she could no longer help me and forwarded me the paperwork in order to request a new title and pay the fee. We went back and forth in the emails for about two emails each (she was prompt on these responses), but eventually she stopped responding to me again. Since I’m military and I live out of state, it was not feasible for me to go to the DMV in person. I reluctantly filled out the application and sent it back to her with my contact information so I could pay the fee. She again, ignored my emails even after two follow ups to ensure she received it. To date, I have not received an email back, a phone call, nor my title. On top of that, as I was filling out the application, I saw where the fee could be waived if the request was being placed prior to six months after the initial title was mailed. When I first spoke to Ms. Beams and she said she would help me, I was still within my six month window. Due to her lack of attention in my case that she said she would help me with, it went past six months. This whole experience has been an inconvenience and an unnecessary added stressor to the already stressful move out of the country. Thankfully, the company shipping my vehicle accepted the print out from the website stating I had a title. I understand each employee there handles, and talks, to a ton of people daily. However, if you make a point to tell someone you’re going to help them and then fail to hold up your end, that is poor customer service. This all could’ve been avoided if 1) she knew the 6 month rule 2) answered her emails in a timely manner, and 3) kept her word. If you’re not willing to help your customers, then don’t say you’re going to.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Simple as that. They really don't have any problem helping if you come in with an appointment, and they take care rather quickly, and they are courteous as well.

In Florida, you can renew your license up to 18 months before its expiration date. You may not be able to renew your license in some situations. For example, you can't renew if you are no longer eligible to receive a license or if you have not responded to a court summons related to a traffic infraction. Also you can renew your DL within a year after its expiration with some late fees included and with another written examination.
Yes you can.
Yes, you will pay tax, tag, and title when you buyout your lease. The dealership will also have a buyout fee. You do not need to return to the same dealership that you leased from.
Yes
Collier county is not taking Lee county residents signs are posted
Lee county tax collector we site. Make an appt. and it should inform of the needed doc's to bring with you. Good luck!
Not sure I think I just turned in my out of state driver's license and took the eye test.
I just got one in bonita. Get there early. It takes awhile but you can wait in your car and hear the numbers called. 30 people in line at opening.
No appointment needed but you will have to wait a few minutes.. if you park close you can wait in your car with your radio on you will hear your number bring some snacks and a drink. I believe you can make an appointment if you want to.
Yes, the plate is yours in FL. Just take the plate off before you turn the car in. Pay the vehicle registration fee for the new leased vehicle and use the plate you have.
Here is what I found. First here is the link to the florida highway and motor vehicles disabled driver page: https://www.flhsmv.gov/motor-vehicles-tags-titles/disabled-person-parking-permits/ You must fill out this form in any case of renewal or new placards: https://www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/forms/83146.pdf I would download the form and send it to your email so you can forward it to be printed at office depot or your home printer. If you have a PDF editor, you could fill the form out and save it then print it. Next, Go to the motor vehicle services station near you with all necessary ID and info. I hope this helps. I don't think you can make appointments for the service so you must walk-in and stand in line. Bring snacks and water because you will likely be waiting up to 3 hours in some cases to be seen. Hope this helps. God bless.
Visit their website or call one of their location for information, before you go .. so you know what documents needed and it'll save your time

Hi James, great question. You need to turn your plate into the DMV to notify that your car has been sold & cancel your insurance.
I would suggest you give the DMV a call and see if you van renew over the phone.
No stare taxes. Homestead exemption shaves off 25,000 off your assessed value if your home
We just did this. It was not expensive. Seems like $25.00
