I was looking for a kitten and made an appointment to view them, Adult cats were only available which wasted my time. I also emailed an employee 3 days ago asking if any kittens were to come available would they please notify me. I have still not received a response.

I have called this shelter THREE times and left TWO messages regarding paperwork about cats I hat adopted there in June of 2019. I talked with a woman on the phone and she said that she would send me the information I needed through email and I have received no such thing! I need to know what shots my cats had before taking them to another vet!

The staff was very friendly and kind and prepared all the necessary document in a timely manner.

I found my baby, my new love here on Saturday!! Uno, who is said to be a mastiff mix, was a big mouth pup in a kennel dying to get out so after spending time with another dog in the play area, I opted to take Uno out & as I watched him immediately walk over to my 13y/o daughter I knew he was the one. The animal control officer was very helpful, she gave me his background which really made me want to bring him to his forever home. So many people pass up shelters & mutts, I used to be one, but this was the best decision I've made in years. Check out their kittens too, they're adorbs!! (The white dog is Boris, he's a gentle giant & 4yrs old, he's avail too) LOOK AT THESE PIC AND TELL ME HE'S NOT A KEEPER!!!!!

I have one kitten and his name is mr.scrachty and j rlly didnt want him and I still dont so if you want it you can come take a look at him
You can put in an application and try. They usually allow seniors from Roosevelt or neighboring schools to volunteer if they need community service hours, but like I said it won't hurt to try.
During COVID, the shelter doesn't accept any used items.
Hello, if you still have the rabbit you can talk to us at 2405086617 to help her with the bunny.
Or. You could take YOUR. Dog with u.
Go to the website. The instructions for adoption are there. During COVID restrictions, visits are by appointment only (no open visiting hours).
hello I have 3 cats that need to be rehome and I was wondering if you guys can take them?
You should call and leave a message on the main line. 301-474-6124
Yes. Please call 301-474-6124
I was a volunteer before the pandemic but can't remember the minimum age best guess would be 18 perhaps!!!?
If I remember correctly... Its $125 which includes a microchip neutering and all shots if the cat is old enough but its best to call. The cost varies depending on where you adopt from. I adopted from Bowie Claw. It costed $140 for a kitten... neutered... microchipped an most of his shots. Vets charge outrageous amounts to neuter/spay. Mine charges $500 for males and $450 for females but a lot 9f the time you can call around and find clinics that will do it much cheaper if you already have a cat that needs this done... just a little knowledge for anyone that needs it.
You can call the shelter to see if they will accept her. You can also advertise her on the neighborhood app
They will not allow you to adopt cats for use as a mouser. They are to be adopted as pets and companions for other pets you may already have.
They are open by appointment. You can email them at the email address on the website. We just adopted a cat from them this week.
The only no kill shelter I know of is Annapolis SPCA. They even display well tempered/social cats/kittens at Petsmart in hopes of finding forever homes quicker. 🥰 They have cats that have been there so long that they now call them residents.
If the dog is found in Greenbelt yes.
They only accept dogs from the City of Greenbelt.
U still have puppy i want q puppy
I wish I had their direct number but I'm sure you could look it up by Google search either Greenbelt government or Greenbelt Animal Control something like that hopefully that works
If you do you have to go there when they are open which is only 2 days a week for a couple of hours and then come in and get an application
You could contact them on their website it's the Greenbelt government website or Greenbelt police
I think they're only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays and he need to go to the Greenbelt Government website
Go to the official website of Greenbelt government you should find more information there on Animal Control
You have to go on the Greenbelt page that would be the official page of Greenbelt town hall or something so try there you'll get information more than you would hear
Go to the city of Greenbelt website and you'll find a link to them to contact them they don't even answer here
You have to go to the city of Greenbelt main website that's where you'll find the link to the shelter and they could tell you information
Im a,volunteer at thr Shelter, and I hsve not been tgete for s few weeks. I'm not sure why this inquiry came to me. Perhaps it goesto all volunteers. Call the shelter today after 4 and someone should be on site to give you an up to date answer
I'm not sure but I think it may be like $135 I live right next to the place
If there's a fee... there's a cost... if something costs... then it's for sale.
If you have access to Facebook, they post pics there and typically respond to messages within a day or two. Facebook may be quicker than this platform. :)
18 and over.
no, open to high school students, preferably juniors & seniors
Yes
I believe they do as good as they can with the limited amount of staff & volunteers they have. I found my pup 3wks ago today here!!
Try the county shelter or the humane society on Oglethorpe St in DC, they're much larger but keep in mind, the cute small dogs go extremely fast.
You're only allowed to surrender your pet to Greenbelt Animal Shelter if you're a Greenbelt resident, all other surrenders will be sent to the SPCA in Forestville
I asked a month ago and they said yes
They don't have a lot if staff to answer social media questions, but they try to maintain their Facebook site and are open Saturdays and Wednesdays. Try those places/times for info.
The shelter accepts all donations. If you go by and they are closed you can leave them at the gate and they will get picked up
No, sorry. Have not seen him.
If you are not a Greenbelt resident you must take your cat to PG Animal Services @ 3750 Brown Station Rd., Upper Marlboro to surrender her. I'm sorry you have to do this, I have rescued 4 kittens, 1 who was set to be euthanized because she was far from friendly and 4 who's owners could no longer keep/care for them. Have you tried a close friend or family as her forever home so you could still see her?
Pg County animal control. There is a Greenbelt animal shelter in Greennbelt also
Sorry. I don't know. I dont work here. Just visited the shelter to see if there any adoptable dogs for our family. Good luck on the job hunting :o)
