By all accounts this is a Fudd range. As in this is not for dynamic shooting of any kind. They have a a myriad of rules, no full auto, one round every two seconds, you have to shoot off the bench. This range is for the old folks. Dudes are friendly for the most part but don’t come here to shoot anything with training value. A better range for that would be salt waters in Saint Augustine.

I took my 6 year old for the first time to shoot his .22, and he had an amazing time. The uniquely generous receptionist Ann was a pleasure to talk to, and one of the safety officers offered my son a brownie too. The experience was enjoyable enough that I ended up signing up for the year, and will likely transition to a lifetime member. After experiencing a range like this, it's impossible to go back to a indoor range. This place really is awesome, and I'm very thankful they're around.

Awesome place for some outdoor shooting, they offer many different target options as well as distances. The staff is helpful and the prices are reasonable. After one visit you'll want to be a member.

My father in law enrolled as a member and two of us paid the daily rate. There is a mandatory safety brief with test (~30 minutes), which one has to score 100%. All three of us are experienced and were pretty much on autopilot. We shot rifle in 25, 50 and 100 and pistol. The rifle line had other shooters so we had to coordinate range cold and hot. We were the only shooters on our pistol range so we were faster here. Don't forget tape, binos and florescent stickers.

Is it still fuddy? Why do you have to have 2 seconds between shots? Why can't you shoot silloette targets with the heads visible? How can you train to defend yourself? I guess the place is run by a bunch of old fudds who think the second amendment is for hunting eh?
Pretty sure it's 15 on weekdays and 20 on weekends... there are memberships as well
No you cannot. They do not allow AR or AK pistols
Only on the private ranges and only pistol calibers, the place is run by FUDDS.
Nope
From about 8 am to 9pm
The 1st day of the calendar year. They do prorate dues (quarterly I believe).
It depends on who is in charge but if you are in the club all you have to do is ask the instructor*
18 years old to join. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult-it is a family friendly range.
Yes, multiples calibers available in limited quantities.
No full auto fire at this range.
Check with Gun Gallery on Beach Blvd . They have a great class to help your skills and comfort level. It is diffthan the CWP class.
My apology Sir but prices have changed, you will have to go there to get a current price.
Yes to both of your questions
They have a full line up of rifle and pistol sections in the front for non members. Daily Rates are $15 M-F $20 on Sat, sun and holidays. When you go check on, tell them what you want to do and they will get you to the right section

Do I need to own a gun to be able to Shoot?
You you can get a pass for the day or week
No. You can lease Spotting scopes.
A new membership is $145 for a year and a $145 fee, also it drops slightly if you join in April. You might just want to give them a call just incase they have some sort of special or something. This is going by their website.
Bradford sportsman farm. 300yd range open. 600 and 850 yard range you have to qualify for.
Yearly unless you get lifetime.
Fairly sure they are. Be safe
On the members only side of the range you can shoot rapid fire. You cannot shoot rapid fire on any of the ranges facing the road. You can also draw from a holster, and walk your lane as long as you stay the same distance as anyone else on the lane. (They cant be in front or you.)
Non-members are limited to the front ranges, unless a guest of a member.
I want to say it was like 140 and the first year you pay an additional 140 for an indoctrination fee or something but that's only the first year. They do have a lifetime membership as well I think it was based on 10 years worth of annuals
Any day and all day
130.00 membership fee and 130.00 a year. Well worth it
There is no age requirement to shoot at a range in Florida. Anyone under the age of 18 must be supervised meaning that while 1 child shoots an adult must watch and be able to physically take control of the firearm (and or child). To be clear, the adult can't even be holding another weapon. Each child will have their own day pass unless they are under the age of 16. I haven't seen a limit to the amount of children or size of family using day passes. In this case, call the desk to verify. Desk staff are always helpful.
All first time shooters have to do the video course. The 200 yard range, and back pits are reserved for members.
Smoking is not prohibited, but don't throw your butts on the ground, it's not your ashtray.
Just go out to the range. Go on and someone will help you.
They normally will only close on Christmas, and hurricanes.
I shot my AR out there with no problems. And yes it was the designated rifle area. I believe there's a 50 and 75 yard target area as well as 100 yards and so on. As far as the Shockwave, they have one spot for any and all shotguns. I also shot a CZ Scorpion with a brace at the rifle area. Better to ask than ask for forgiveness. Most rangers are pretty cool. Hope that helped. ✌ stay safe.
With a 3inch 12g chamber you can buy a box of regular 2 and 3/4. Not sure what you plan on shooting at though. 4 is a little big for anything other than patterning and hunting medium game. Yes you can pattern any thing you want. They have a couple places for you pattern shot guns here.
Their ammo prices are fair but you can find less expensive in town. Add targets, highlighted cover dots (to place on your shots after iterations), masking tape and binos on your shopping list.
No they separate and sell their own scrap , they periodically close ranges and use their big machine to do so
I'm not a member, but have visited several times on a daily. If you shoot a lot, Gateway is a bargain at $124. Great ranges, safe, great people. I highly recommend this place.
+John Hill You can only do that once per guest per year. 2nd time guests pay full price.
