It was a cool experience, learning to ride speed boats. The tour around st Petersburg was beautiful, and passing residential areas. The only thing i was disappoint, was not to be able encounter wildlife like dolphins and manatees.

The boat ride was nice. The tour guide was rude to my wife and didn’t make it clear as to how long we were going to be sitting in the canal “warming up”; It seemed a little long. The 2 hours also felt a little long but that’s probably just me.

There is not much narration, I think our guide pointed out 2-3 things. BUT this little boat is fast! We got wet, more than a splash-but it was a great time. We did see dolphins also. Had never drove a boat before so this was a great experience

I bought this tour online and it was called the "2-Hour Speedboat Tour" but in the fine print it says that the tour is 1.5 hours. Why title it misleadingly? For the price, 2 full hours would be more reasonable. As for the experience, this wasn't much of a "tour". The guide pointed out maybe two or three landmarks during the entire time and then blatantly asked for tips at the end after doing the bare minimum. The bulk of what you pay for is just getting to ride in the fun little boat that you drive yourself. All and all, I'd prefer to just rent the boat independently and take it out without the "tour" element but that option is not offered.

You would need 2 speedboats, it is an awesome time.
They probably go about 40 MPH, and no there's no license needed just Florida's Required boating coarse if you're born after January 1, 1988.
I think so yes
