Great service with a view. We stopped for dinner at Caddy's John's Pass. It is on the bay board walk so you have a view of the water and boats passing by. A host will seat you or you can walk up anytime to the bar. We sat at the bar. Their menu has what I find to be typical bar/grill kind of food. A little of this and a little of that. We started with a couple appetizer's, fish dip and ahi tuna. Our main meal consisted of coconut shrimp with sweet potato fries and a corn beef Ruben sandwich with their kettle chips. I say Ruben like that because they offer a grouper Ruben as well. The appetizers were what you'd expect. The fish dip was tasty. Initially I thought it might be a salmon dip because of the color and initial taste but a second bite cleared that up. This was a good dip but having had smoked fish dip similar to this at other places it left me thinking about it instead. Portion size was good. The ahi tuna was on good as well. Seared and slightly cool in the center. It was a descent portion size with Wasabi and yum yum sauce on the plate. Our main course came out fairly quickly. My Ruben a good size sandwich, was tasty and hot. The kettle chips were warm to hot and nicely seasoned. I added some malt vinegar to them and this was a great combo if you like that flavor profile. My wife's coconut shrimp were good as were the sweet potato fries. Portion size was a bit small for the money with only 7 or 8 pieces of shrimp and more fries. Would have been nice to see more shrimp. With so much seafood in the area I had expected for her shrimp to be fresh and baddered on site. This is not the case as I watched some service staff carry in 3 boxes of frozen coconut shrimp. Service. There were 8 or so folks at the bar with two bartenders. They did a great job of taking care of everyone, including a bar tender from another establishment who I thought was a chatty Kathy and trying top hard to make friends with the staff. They have a nice drink selection and pour a nice drink. After speaking with my wife about her thoughts, this was just and average to OK place. Nothing against the staff at all, they were great but just sorta expected more for the money we spent. Over 120 with tip for two people. Oh, I almost forgot. They have live entertainment as well. Their music kept the crowd entertained but was a bit loud from the bar.

A little bummed as their menu was essentially cut in half as the kitchen was being renovated? Food (that was available) was delish. Service was good and wait staff was very friendly. You can’t beat the atmosphere for a beach place!

Sat at the bar later rainy Saturday evening, no reservation, tables also available. Live music in the loft. Good food, had the fish spread and ahi tuna, good service. Rest rooms a challenge only 1 in the resto but accessible, would have to go up to other resto to find more.

We asked for a table for 7 and a baby and got sat at a table with chairs stuffed around It. We told them that is not going fit us all and proceed to say oh you told the hostess five. We moved to a bigger table that was better however it was freezing and no where near heated lamps. We didn’t have a waiter come over to our table for over 10 mins after being sat and had to get up and tell someone. They looked busy and had only one waitress serving a section of more than 10 tables. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. Our food didn’t come out till maybe an hour later. When it did it was cold and the portion size on the mahi mahi tacos was so small. The majority of the taco was lettuce.the presentation was nice but not the greatest. Also the silverware was dirty on a few forks wrapped up in the napkins. Overall not a great experience. The restaurant over sat the waitstaff and you could see people literally running back and forth. Probably won’t be coming back and I don’t recommend.

Caddy's and Crabbys basically own the entire beaches. Tourist prices too. Sad.
All staff are required to wear masks. We have contact less menu and payment options. Guests must be seated to be served, we do our best to contain people from meandering around. Hand sanitizer is available at various places across the restaurant. Feel free to call the store with any specific questions or concerns!
Yes, all Caddy locations are dog friendly!
Hi Sandy! We actually do not normally take reservations, so no reservations are necessary. If you will be having a large party, please give us a call at (727) 258-4820 and we can discuss accommodations. Thanks!
