Great takeout pizza and quality lunch items , portofino makes a great pizza parlor 🍔 and sandwiches at a reasonable price

My husband and I visited portofino's in Montpelier on his birthday during a one-week power outage due to trees down and power out for 7 for us and up to 10 days for others. We were a little early so we had our choice of seats. Our waitress was wonderful! Unfortunately I never got her name but she was very attentive and helpful. She raised our spirits after such a long week of misery (with three more days to go as it turned out). I ordered the Tour of Italy--manicotti, lasagna, chicken something and veal something with a salad. My husband had a huge platter of spaghetti with too many toppings to mention. The food was good, the bread was good, the waitress was excellent. And. We came back a few days later for a Sunday brunch. My husband, country boy that he is, was skeptical of an Italian restaurant's brunch. "Will they have eggs?" Yes! They did! The same superb waitress came to our table, the coffee and eggs were hot and good, the tater tots I could have done without, and breakfast overall was great. ~jojo

Both dine in and carry out experiences here have been great! Portions are big, prices are reasonable, and service is always attentive and friendly (despite help shortage like everywhere else). Their pizza is perfect in my opinion, with a softer crust and slightly sweet sauce, hardly ever very greasy and the special price on Tuesdays can't be beat.
