Don’t judge a book by its cover. This local gem was recommended by another local eatery business - when we asked where to get pancakes and the other fixes for breakfast. Delish! (Steak & eggs… pancakes… and the coffee. Reuben sandwich was good too) Just for the record - we had breakfast 3x in the past two weeks here during our stay in Monticello.

This place is a cute small place with pictures of old school actors all over, lots of pictures of Elvis, guess they big Elvis fan. Food was ok simple breakfast platter had to switch the himefries because they were cold and bland. The tuna was average and simple.

First off the staff that greeted us was rude. Then we were welcomed by spoiled milk not once but twice.Food was bland, pancakes served raw in the middle. They tried to charge us for food they didn’t bring. Everything is overpriced for what it is. I’ve spent a third as much at good diners and gotten food that was out of this world. The only positive I have to say is the waitress was great.

We moved to the area a few months ago and have been here four or five times. Each time we have been there the food has been wonderful. We’ve been there for breakfast and dinner. My husband, son and father were all happy with their food and so was I each time. The wait staff is very friendly, the owner is behind the short order grill and he is very good at what he does. The establishment itself is clean and inviting. We are very happy we live somewhat close to a great diner! We look forward to coming back for years to come.
