I have lived in and dealt with Polk County Government for all my life, but if you need information on ANYTHING do not call you are better off to walk in an office and ask no matter how small it is. I the last 2 weeks I've spent about 5 hours total on hold only to find out nothing because paperwork isn't sent to the right departments or its not entered in a timely manner. Its insane for someone who has limited time to wait on people to do their jobs even half way.

i spent 3 days trying to get help with a summons that they issued. the clerks could have easily mailed me a copy of the issued summons, or emailed me a copy of the issued summons. however, they kept passing the problem to the company that runs their. portal. unbelievable.
