(Exotics) By far and away the BEST in the business. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful, caring, I could go on forever. They will NOT run all types of extra testing that isn't needed unless you specifically want to and they give you the option. They are EXTREMELY detailed in every bit of care leading up to the visit. All students and Vets have been phenomenal and I've been here A LOT. (I rescue noodles so that.) Exotics is Mon-Fri 8-5 with an on-call Vet for severe emergencies evenings and weekends. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone at UF Small Animal Hospital!!!!

I can not say enough good things about this hospital and their staff. These people are so kind, thoughtful and diligent. My pup received the best treatment while in their care. They called me several times during and even after her stay to ask if I had questions, concerns and just to see how my Molly was doing. Great hospital, and amazing people who genuinely care about their patients.

My 7 yr old dog zeke started having seizures out of no where. We took him to our local vet they did blood work and kept him over night. The next day they did xray and seen a large mass in his belly and they couldn't tell which organ it was attached to. After calling several places we was lost. After speaking to out regular vet which was out of town when this 1st started got his paperwork and xrays and told us to get him up to uf small animal hospital in Gainesville. We did and they told us it could be costly but they believe they could save his life. Well they did the mass was a tumor that wasn't cancerous thank god and it was attached to his stomach and had a little one on his shoulder. They removed both and closed him up and nursed him back to health. Zeke has been home for almost a week now and he's slowly coming back to his normal self. We wanna thank all the workers at uf small animal hospital yall saved my buddies life and we couldn't be more grateful.

The best place in the world for your pet care by a long shot. There are so many things that can be said about UF small animal hospital: excellent student vets, doctors and staff. The care is FAR superior to any clinic or specialty hospital I have used. I have had 6 animals treated at UF over 13 years. They provide top notch care, research and support that surpasses the normal vets. They spoil you and your pet with kindness and knowledge. It is so hard to ever go to another vet. I just had the teeth cleaned on my 4-year-old pup and my 13-year-old pup, it was excellent. Dr. Wuerz is THE BEST at what she does and she cares. THANK YOU

Their website says they treat spiders, scorpions, lizards and other reptiles. I would say yes, but it wouldn't hurt to call first. I hope you're lil buddy is ok!
Yes. Best to call ahead though. Different species of snake can require different types of anti-venom.
Depends on the service
Tom if you call University of Florida small Animal Hospital they will tell you how much it will be. Good luck
I am unsure,i saw a snake there.
Could they do surgery on a dog?
I'd say yes it's possible. My neighbor's dog died from an obstruction. He was chewing wood. It only took 1 week for him to die. If he's vomiting for more than one day take him to the vet. If he's not eating, change in bowel movement and urination take him immediately.
Needs an exam, bloodwork possible thyroid test
Emergency service on a Saturday for my 125 lb great dane included: xrays, ultrasound, blood work, cardiologist, fluids and medication- $1600 (1 of the medications is expensive $125- not a them thing thats just the medication... i shop around a LOT)
No. But they are really good!
Depends on what department you come in seeing. Primary care, emergency, ortho, etc
Depends on what they have to remove or alter, anesthesia, other costs...case by case i think...i had lung surgery for my pup and they were very specific
