After leaving each of my hyperbaric sessions for my knee replacement, I felt as if I had been in a healing spa surrounded by angels. Each of your hearts are connected with the other. As a result, compassion, care and love filled the space. A quick healing for my knee replacement and a lovely time out from the anxious world we find ourselves My arms are extended in gratitude, Janice

We had the most amazing experience. Everyone was so incredibly kind. The staff made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. The treatment was life changing! I’m beyond grateful for the care my daughter received at Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery of Marin . My daughter came out a new person with hope for the future that she hadn't felt in so long. I met many other patients who had the same experience. I highly recommend!!

I’ve been taking my wife for treatments. We absolutely love how professional the staff is! From the founder, Janine Thill, Dr. Chan and the rest of the staff, Denora, Claudia, Jeanne, Esteban and James. They are all very caring and make you feel very comfortable, we’re in good hands! Most importantly, my wife looks forward to her treatments and has been feeling better not just physically but also emotionally!!!

Questions & Answers

how is 02 deprivation detected?

marilyn leigh | Sep 9, 2018
Janine Thill | Sep 9, 2018

Hi Marilyn, 02 deprivation is detected in many ways. Starting with patient history, the narrative of an injury (a patient being knocked out) (or a patient who had a heart attack and did not breathe for 4 minutes), a toxic exposure event (for example from CO2 poisoning the carboxyhemoglobin replacing the oxygen in the body is something you can test for) and or extensive testing and diagnostic means. Some physicians will do a SPECT scan to see about actual and current metabolism and circulation of the brain, some cardiac tests will also show muscle death due to a lack of oxygen, some other injuries that occlude the oxygen (lets say in a crush injury or repercussion injury) will show up as black necrosis in tissue. Although this is a question better answered by a physician - these are just a few ways that historically I have seen different physicians diagnose injury, or illness due to a lack of oxygen or 02 deprivation. Best Regards, Janine

Is HBOT appropriate for chronic depression, insomnia and fatigue?

Joyce Allen | Sep 9, 2018
Gerald Pajon | Sep 9, 2018

That would only be answered if the chronic depression or insomnia was caused by lack of oxygen. It might actually increase fatigue in the Short term. Hyperoxygination helps when the problem is directly related to LACK of oxygen or circulaton
