Going to Obon was so much fun. It was great to have it after a few years. There were so many people and it was so festive. Unfortunately, they didn't plan the food well. They ran out of stuff quickly. The dancing was packed-- much more than other Obon I've been too. This seems like a very friendly community Buddhist church. I'm so glad I went.

A nice, spacious & clean event venue with parking on site & along the streets in addition to its main religious function.

It was fun to watch the all ladies drummer's and the food was good. Only bad thing was that they ran out of BEER'S at the festival.

Questions & Answers

I noticed a sign for the Bonsai and Rock Exhibit on March 31st and April 1st but cannot find any info for it on the church's website. Anyone know what time it will be, and if there's a cost?

Hi, the Bonsai shows at the BCS are actually conducted by the Sacramento Bonsai Club, using the BCS kaikan space. Questions for Bonsai events should be directed to: http://www.sacramentobonsaiclub.com/
