The customer service at the Riverside Avenue branch is the best. I had a few transactions and a lot of questions to ask and Amber was very patient and helpful. She made me feel like a valued member and towards the end she asked if there was anything else that she could help me with even though she had help me with so much. I would recommend Altura credit union to my friends and family.

Worst bank ever they have a bunch of imbeciles working there. I’m on maternity leave so I was trying to transfer money from my Bank of America card onto my debit card so I can pay my bills. This dumb heifer takes the money out of the account and says that it’s declined. Even tho my Bank of America app says the amount is pending. All she could tell me was to call the number on the back of my card. I called Bank of America and they told me Altura has to send them a fax releasing the funds and it’ll be fixed. I call Altura customer service and the idiot on the phone can’t help me. I go up to the the heifer to ask her if she can explain to the representative what she did so that they can help me. She looks at me as if she’s seen a ghost and goes to hide in the back. Comes back and tells me the supervisor can help me. I go up to the supervisor and I ask him if he can talk to the representative and he’s like I’m busy with this printer. At this point my newborn is crying so I’ve clearly lost my patience seeing that I’ve been at the bank for OVER an hour and none of these incompetent people can seem to help me. Some advice DON’T GO HERE. Now I have to wait for God knows how long until my funds show up somewhere. The only helpful person in all of this was the lady from Bank of America. No wonder these idiots only have 2 stars.

After 12 years no longer a member. Been banking here for years with excellent service, however in the last couple of years it has progressively shown me that they are unreliable. Went to this branch and associate was unprofessional and condescending. Had an issue with a new card, then temp card then new card. Long story short I was left in the middle of a bad area late evening (after work) with a flat tire and a deactivated card and not enough cash or check on me. The purpose of a bank is so that I don't carry the entirety of my money around; like I said bad neighborhood, what's the point if you have no card! As their customer service stands I have no inclination to go in therefore no further need for their services.

Before I complain, I need to mention the tellers are always friendly and never rush you. The bank offers great interest rates as well. My issue is more practical. Most of the time there is over a 20 min wait. In today's world, that is such a pain and extremely inconvenient. Chase, down the street is so quick and so is Citibank. I can't stand everytime I need to go in bc I know I'll have over a 15 min wait or more. It's annoying that instead of hiring more tellers during peak hours, they try to save a buck and keep two or three tellers. I always hear people complain in line.
