Twice my daughter left crying cause she did not attend her ballet class. Be prepare for Dance Move Live in Highland, CA to cancel your child class 13 mins before schedule class dance. It happen to me, my daughter all dress up and driving 30 mins to find out class was cancelled. No call, just e-mail was send 5:17pm when her class was at 5:30pm. Dance Move Live No parent will check e-mails while driving, please call parents and it was free trial still be polite as I also fill in the information sheet for the free trial and all my information was there even two phone numbers to be reached at. First time we went Daughter was enrolled in the wrong age level class when I told receptionist ages 3-5 years old and instead she got put in level 3,4,5. When I was there the receptionist was so rude, I feel she did not like to be approached with questions. By the way there was no other person aside from me. She look she did not care to get me to know what they offer. I did not let her affect my view of the studio so I sign up daughter for the correct class which when we went it was cancel 13 mins before via e-mail. WOW!!! What kind of customer service. If you asked the receptionist for number to bring up the issue to upper management she says I can not provided that. Someones needs to know lack of service and how business is being run in the studio.

My daughter attended Dance Move Live for two years. The first year was great but the second year was awful. One of the owners was in charge of the competition team with the girls. The competition was very disorganized with her. She moved the competition team into a smaller room so her child's rec dance class could use the larger stage room which made the children unprepared for the stage at competitions. She did not communicate with all the parents only the ones in her "click" which led to some parents going to the wrong locations. She would override the instructors suggestions to move children in different classes because she wanted the final say because shes the owner, she would also change things after the parents took a vote on things during board meetings. She would always favor her child over everyone else's and give other children the lesser roles even when the instructors suggested her child be in a lower level class. During practices one instructor would get in the children's faces and yell at them. In one instance a water bottle was thrown. I do not think that this dance studio is a good place to bring your children to. Every child deserves to have a chance at the main roles instead of picking favorites. The children end up not learning the dances well or are not able to practice enough to perform the dances during competition. This brings the children down because they think that they did not dance as well as everyone else at competition when in reality they were never given the space to practice properly.

Please, please do not send your child here for any dance classes! Do yourself a favor and look around for another studio! This studio is in it for the money. Do not believe the 5 star reviews on yelp, as they are posted by the owner and employees themselves. The turnover rate of students is ridiculous. The only reason the classes are full the majority of the time is because of the strong marketing tactics they use, especially from offering 7 free classes to entire enrollment of local elementary schools. Your child will spend 40 minutes of 60 minute class stretching. No joke! With the remaining 20 minutes, the dances for the upcoming recitals will be sloppily thrown together. The recital dances are not polished, nor worthy of the time and money spent, and pale in comparison to the other school/ studio teams on stage. The recitals will be unorganized, overpriced, severely under-supervised backstage by adults, and completely about $$making money for the travel dance competition team. The office manager is as rude as can be, does not make supervision of young children a priority, and will never admit to any wrongdoing.

My daughter loves taking dance here! Especially the 3-5 year ballet/jazz class with Ms. Marie!
