Adorable little shop. So much fun to browse, and I found some great gems. Super well-kept and clean. I wish this was my neighbourhood bookstore! As it was, it made for a very fun outing on my Seattle vacation.

I spotted this pretty bookstore while strolling through the streets of Uptown. This store has a great collection of books and is aesthetically pleasing. Despite being a used bookstore it’s very organised. You can spend hours browsing here! :) Bonus tip: Do notice the unique bookends on each shelf.

I came here in November and I wanted to make sure I rated it so I remember to come back next time I'm in Seattle. The best thing about this shop was all the different book ends and decor 😊

When I moved to QA I didn’t expect to have such an awesome bookstore so close to me. I’ll do errands and look at the cart outside or wave at the window. When I do go and take a long trip, it’s such a nice quiet place—the shelves are amazing; there’s no wooden shelves like these anymore—and what’s on the shelf is amazing too. The book is filled with interesting titles, classic titles, and the rarest gem you’re hoping to find in a used bookstore. Also honestly out of all the shops I’ve visited this shop has a robust, unique, and diverse section on feminism and LGTB!!!! I appreciate it so much

Yes, while they mainly have fiction titles, they do have a small selection of how to, DIY, and technical titles. Usually at fairly low prices to boot.
I believe the buy back is about 25% - 30% based on other books I have given to Mercer Street Books for trading. Though they generally are much more likely to accept books that have any current significance and are small on the shelf due to the size of the book store.
In store browsing is welcome with the use of face masks. Masks must be warn over nose and mouth for the entire time that a person is in the shop. You'll be asked to use hand sanitizer at the door. You're welcome to bring your own and use it once in the door. High touch surface are cleaned regularly throughout the day with sanitizing wipes. Social distancing guidelines are blocked out by white taped guidelines on the floor. While our shop can technically allow more people in, we find that it gets hard to move around and still distance with more than 10 people. We restrict numbers based on how easily customers are able to stay apart. Thanks for asking!
