Today 9/1/2022 is our 1st appointment at Barney & Russum since moving to the area with our German Shepard. We've had a very good experience since making our appointment, everyone is friendly and very proficient / professional from the time we walked in the door. Dr Mack saw our 12 year old Shepard today for follow up check on severe ear infection that took us to Solano Emergency Vet Clinic 5 days ago, our wait was not long(approx 15 min) as they were very busy, our technician was very kind and thorough getting all the new patient information from us and then Dr Mack came into exam room and did a very thorough exam of our dog. Over all we want to thank everyone at Barney & Russum for making us feel welcome and taking such good care of our dog. Thank you again Dr Mack, it was indeed a pleasure meeting you and having you treat Sierra with great kindness and letting us know your findings. We look forward to coming back when we need your help. I have been going to Dr Mack for 20 years. The new Barney & Russum continues to not answer the phone, does not return calls for days, always say they’re short staffed and always invite me to find another vet. I find this very offensive since I have been a loyal client of Dr Mack‘s for so many years. Dr Mack is the best and I’m sure she is unaware how horribly her clients are treated. Unfortunately Barney & Russum is no longer the best at anything since the senior doctors have retired. This new business model is the worst.

Dr Russum is a kind vet and person. He typically charges for 1 visit if he checks both your dogs at the same time (for short checkups, this statement is not a guarantee or a dang coupon). Also Simparica Trio is very affordable and will protect against fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Reception is always very kind as well!
