I was surprised that there were dogs available from Old Mill Doodles during this time. Most breeders stated they had extensive waiting lists due to the stay at home orders. Valerie sent a detailed kind message when I inquired about getting a puppy that could be trained as a service/ therapy/ companion dog for my son. I have done extensive research on therapy dogs and the training they receive for such an important job, to help keep our disabled kids safe and happy. When I inquired as to whether the puppies would have any bio-sensory, crate, outdoor potty or similar training, which is offered/ done by agencies at the same age as the puppies she sells, I was told it was unsafe and outside their capabilities and to move along. I can understand if the training is outside their capabilities,truly I wasn't expecting that they did training as the price for their puppies is far lower than most. It definitely threw up a red flag. I will be moving along and if I need to wait to make sure I am getting a quality puppy for my son's "forever pal" I will. Just wanted to share my experience.
