Probably the best library in the desert (I haven’t been to La Quinta). The best library I’ve ever studied in. Perfect lighting with huge picturesque windows. A quiet study room if you want more silence. Group study rooms that are well insulated. There is a small gated courtyard in the middle of the library if you need some fresh air. What more can a girl ask for?

This was a great library to find! There are many libraries around to choose from however we found this one the best so far! We are homeschooling our kids and the Wifi here is super fast and they have a couple of study rooms you can use-book 2 hour windows. Everything was very clean (including the bathrooms) and appeared organized. Staff was super friendly and happy to help - lots of staff around if you have any questions. The displays within the library were neat to look at (lots of different gem stones etc.

First time visit. What a cool place! Very spacious. Easy to find a small alcove to read. Seems to have many events for kids during the summer. Kids area is large and very friendly attendant. Has late fees for all of its resources.

They have free tours at 3pm Tuesday through Saturday (meet in the library lobby) and an open-house style moon viewing called Swoon @ the Moon after sunset when the Moon is in its first quarter phase. Sign up for the library's eNewsletter at www.ranchomiragelibrary.org to get info for evening Stargazing events.
Tuesday through Saturday at 9:00am AND 3:00pm, meet in the main lobby of the library and the guide will walk you to the observatory. It’s free of charge.

I was there this morning and they have an events booklet available.
They do but I would call ahead just in case they don't because of covid.
On the south side of the library. You enter the main entrance at stoplight. Make a right into parking lot. Head to the back and hang a left. Book drop is on the side of building. :)
Yes, black and white printing costs $0.10 per page and color printing is $0.25 per page.

Yes. They have a cafe.
Is that a question or statement?
They have several helpful handouts at the reference desk for Android and iOS devices, or if you call the reference desk, one of the librarians will talk you through it. The easiest way is to go in person. The librarian will help you download the app and demonstrate how to use it.
