The drake in laguna should deserve 6 stars! Wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and can’t wait to go back! The waiter asked if it was our first time? We replied yes and he was ecstatic for us, he shared a bit of history behind the restaurant and asked if we had any questions about the menu, We decided to start with the divers scallops and they were amazing and Tasted so fresh! I ordered the venison lion and she ordered the filet, both were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor! For dessert we chose the flourless chocolate cake, while pretty rich it was delightful to share between the two of us.

LOVED The Drake. Food was good and the jazz band made the night amazing. We requested a few songs by the band and they played them beautifully. I ordered the pork chop and my partner ordered the chicken. Both were made very well. Our reservation was on a Thursday and for the second part of the show (around 8:30), so we didn't deal with issues getting kicked out like others have claimed here. Overall, the staff was very friendly. I'll point out one obvious thing though. It's a restaurant that has a live band in a decent size, but not large space. It gets loud when the band is playing. Be prepared to yell all night. That should be expected. We were the first seat next to the band, so my partner and I had to yell even more than others, but it was fine. We knew it. Place is great. Give it a try for a date night or anniversary.

Excellent food and a really fun atmosphere. It’s pricey, but worth it for a nice date night, special night out, or if you’re in the mood for some exquisite cocktails. The live music is a lot of fun. The fire along the covered patio adds to the sensory experience of it all. With traffic on the PCH just feet away and the live music being somewhat loud, this is not a great spot for those looking for a quiet/tranquil environment. But for a fun, lively night out, it’s perfect, and the energy/decor is unlike many other restaurants in Laguna. And the tuna tartare was unreal!

This is a great place. They were able to get me in last minute change to my reservation so we could make the Derek Boudreaux show (He is GREAT!), we love live music and the food! The tiger prawns had this sauce that was to die for, the waiter just took it away when we were dipping our fries in it. It was that good! Everything was delicious. Waiter was okay, a little loud and boisterous but the staff was overall great. Great time here and good drinks too
