I seem to be on a lucky streak. Rex’s is a small cafe on the the corner and has little parking. This is a great little place that, if I lived here, I could be a regular at. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service (Jessica?) was great. Both my daughter and I had the stuffed French toast with eggs and sausage. Eggs and sausage were good and very hot, nothing special, but the toast was delicious. Not sure what they stuff it with, but with the fresh banana and strawberries it is delicious. The prices are pretty reasonable for this area. My only complaint would be the Cappuccino. Not a fan of the coffee but I’m kinda snobby with coffee. I’ll probably be back here in the next few days.

Best breakfast in two years ! I visited CSULB with my son last week and we stayed at the DoubleTree. We wanted a breakfast place we could walk to. What a pleasant surprise. The food is amazing and the portions more than generous. I had the Chiliquilles with fruit and my son a Denver Omellette with potatoes. We couldn't finish and enjoyed leftovers the next day. The service is impeccable and the restaurant cute. I would definitely recommend this place !!

Always have the best experience, whenever I stop by & grab a bite to eat. Food is excellent, service is excellent, restaurant is always clean. Prices are reasonable & portions are hearty. Highly recommend Rex cafe👍

We enjoyed our lunch here. I had a hazelnut latte which was excellent and my Albacore tuna salad bowl was fresh and tasty. Reasonable prices and very fast and efficient service.
