There was a favorite I used to order from a place I went to when I lived in North Carolina, and I was absolutely in LOVE with their mole poblano sauce, and since I moved out of NC in 2013, I have been searching for somewhere that has sauce like theirs. El Chaparro is now and will continue to be my favorite go to place as long as I am in Lincoln, having that dish was so nostalgic. So happy and so delicious! (And filling!)

been comming here for years.. but the last two times I feel like I got ripped off. had to question the bill. the prices have skyrocketed or something. no longer affordable to eat here. 17 bucks for 1 person before a tip is insane! could have had steak for that... come on now..

El Chaparro doesn’t try to be anything other than its genuine, phenomenal self. You’re not getting some overly flashy display where the food is an afterthought. You’re getting an authentic, delicious meal cooked & served by hard-working, friendly staff in a comfortable and personable setting. Prices are fair, food comes out quickly, and staff are almost always attentive to our table’s needs. I’ll come back as many times as they’ll tolerate me mispronouncing “Jarritos.”
