I’ve been shopping here for years and I’m not a satisfied customer any longer. I placed my deli order online because it takes far too much time if you choose to take a number and wait for your number to be called in store. I just came from picking up my deli order, on the bag, 1 item was circled and N/A was written next to it. Being new to this process I wasn’t sure what the item circled with the letters N/A meant. There were 2 deli workers behind the counter directly in front of me so I asked if they could explain the N/A? Both workers looked directly at me and then turned away. I was shocked! Shortly after another customer asked a question to one of the deli people, after he helped her I asked him what the circle and N/A meant, he explained the item was out of stock and my order was placed with no substitutions checked off. I looked and observed there were about a half dozen people waiting so I took my order, paid for it and went to the deli down the street to complete my order, no line there, and they even said thank you when I paid. Additionally, I always felt safe parking my car in the lot when you had to put 25 cents in to take a cart which was refunded when you returned the cart to its proper location. A couple of weeks ago when I came out from shopping I had a cart resting against the side of my car. It would be nice if Shoprite management would address these concerns to make shopping there a better experience.

I used to like going to this shoprite plus its the only real food store in my town. But like everything else now a days the service is terrible. They put in self check outs but there is always a long line because not enough cashiers at the regular registers. The other problem is the cashiers are very unfriendly and to be honest very lazy. As I checked out today with a cashier. No greeting when I came up scanned my price plus card and started to scan. She just pushed everything to the end of the checkout and didnt bag any of it. She actually had to push stuff out of her way to continue scanning. When she finished scanning my item she just stood there telling me the total and waiting for me to bag my order. If I'm doing more work then the employee I should get lime she does. I dont mind helping bag when its a large order. But this wasnt and I would of been better off going to the self checkout. I wish shoprite management would do a better of training there staff.

People who shop there should have noticed the new owners are raising the prices of everything. Permutter's sold so now we have to pay more for everything they sell. More for the Saker's, less for us. Walmart is looking better each day.

Came home with a rotisserie chicken still raw, never again. Had multiple awful experiences here. Such as a cashier opening my bag of fried chicken to count the amount in my bag and touching my food. Yesterday I visited Walmart (5) Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Shop Rite (10), Lanoka Harbor, NJ, & Wawa (8), Rt 9, Forked, NJ. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being Germ Free & 1 being highly contagious I can tell you the Shop Rite rated above was a pleasure & simply amazingly CLEAN, almost sterile.
Yes they do I've watched those people walk around with those cards with those paperwork in hands and they literally stand there and make sure they read the packages check everything out before they even put it in the car sometimes I get a little jealous cuz like I see them doing that and I'm thinking what maybe I'll have my Walmart send my food to me but I'm always in Walmart everyday but ShopRite I love their chicken their fried chicken I love their service there people everything they do easy parking easy to get out and they'll deliver to your house
I know the produce does seem higher I shop for the weekly specials produce or buy it at bjs
They have ShopRite From Home so it's possible. Call and ask.
